LOL

Now my wife and I met in 86, she was right out of high school and I was out for 3 years already. So we never actually went to a prom together.

went out for dinner with the wife on Tuesday night and heard a commercial for a 2nd chance prom for adults sponsored by LiteRock 105.5 at The Crown Plaza in Warwick RI...45 minutes away

Came up with a plan over Zuppa de pesce fra diavlo. If we could pull it off we'll get the tickets online.

She found a dress and shoes on Weds and I picked up a black suit Thursday and paid an extra $50 to have it tailored by Saturday. (there was no way I was going to get fitted for a tux in 2 days lol She picked up a bow tie to match her dress today. Thought about doing the whole limo thing but said screw it.

will post some pics Sunday or Monday

Wait a minute. You have to get laid in the limo. Otherwise it's not truly a Prom date.

I went to 3 proms, got laid at all of them but only 1 time was with my actual date. Don't suppose that would work out well here

@RhodyRams that's a popular promotion with radio stations and for good reason.......they are always a blast. I've been involved in one.

Well how was it ?

they have kind of the same thing up in Worthington NM at their events center , they've been doing it for a few years now , the wife and I have talked about going a couple times , but it never got past the talking stage..................lol

So what was it like , did they have a meal before the dance ?, any kind of program ?

or was it just a dance ?

was it more for any certain age group , or was it pretty evenly distributed between all age groups ?

Any kind of a theme ?

Sounds like the one up in Worthington MN is mostly just a Dance , with a few games

I meet my wife when we were both Seniors in High School , we went to different schools , and so we ended up doing two Proms together , one week I took her to my Prom and the following week , she took me to her Prom

We had a great time. There was a mix of ages from mid 20's to upper 50's. The radio station morning personality was the emcee and they brought in Callum Scott for a 5 song set at around 9 or so.

first hour was a cocktail hour with wandering waiters and waitresses with platters appetizers, stuffed mushrooms, shrimp tempora, crab cakes etc. Then we all sat down, no arranged seating so we sat wherever. The DJ started playing mellow stuff and we went up to the buffet table by table.

After dinner, they played a mix of 80's and 90's dance music with a little modern stuff thrown in. Also raffled off Eagles tickets, Ed Sheeran tickets, a Kelly Clarkson autographed guitar and Billy Joel at Fenway Park tickets, but we didnt win any of those.

Drinks were relatively cheap( $7.50 for Absolute ) and extremely weak LOL, so we left there around 10:30 and hit our favorite bar for a real drink or 2 before heading home.
