Man, it's almost like you can't pick one play to analyze a guy with!

Now multiple plays over the course of a game... ;)

What have Goff done to avoid criticism as soon as somebody say something that the guy needs to work on it's like the end of the world and a lot of y'all don't even like Cam but now he is exhibit A.

I can't speak for everyone, but it's not the idea that Goff needs to work on things that bothers me. It's the sense I get from a couple posters (not you) that the book is already written on him, and that he's a bust, that Wentz is better, etc. I think everyone can agree that he has things to work on. He is essentially a rookie. A rookie that needs experience and good coaching.Thankfully, it looks like we now have a staff CAPABLE of coaching him up to his potential, which I think is in top 5 QB territory. We may be wrong, he may never reach that level. He may bust. But he hasn't yet.

Let me add this too; The reason so many of us find the idea of Goff failing so objectionable is that our favorite team's future is so closely tied to his success. If Goff is a bust, it will set this franchise back. Period. It may happen, no one can deny it. But being the first prick around here to correctly label Goff a bust will win you no friends around here, that I can promise.

See that's the thing he doesn't need to work on being sacked it happens to all the greats too and more than just once unlike some posters are posting. If a QB watches the rush he is worthless he has to keep his eyes downfield and no pocket awareness is BS or the greats wouldn't ever get sacked. Your boy mannion got sacked the same way sat only difference was the sacker trapped the ball against him

Probably has a lot to do with just being tired of the stupid critics. People calling him a bust after 7 games with horrible coaching. Has a lot to do with people calling him a bust for plays that every QB has. Has a lot to do with listening to not just self appointed experts do these things but Rams fans do it also. Rams fans have been dumped on so much by their own team that the last few years some of us are tired of not only the team and the media do it but now some of the harshest vitriol we deal with comes from our fellow Rams fans and it's just old.

I have no more invested in Goff than any other QB the Rams have had. But like all the others I want him to succeed. Too many people, including Rams fans, are writing him off already and it's tiring listening to the foolishness.

Idiots are writing Goff off after 7 games, if the Cowboys did the same with Aikman who had far worse stats than Goff there'd be one less Hall of Fame QB. If Bronco's fans did the same with Elway there'd be another less HoF QB.

If people did to Steve Young after his 2 years in Tampa, if people did to Warren Moon and so on and so on what they're doing to Goff where would we be?

There are what 3 or 4 threads going right now and almost at all times talking about how bad Goff is and Mannion or Wents or Dak or Kizer are better. It's really damned old. We're read so much stupidity that people are getting defensive about Goff. If anything for some of us we're rooting harder for Goff than before after reading all the garbage.

Won't comment on the comments....

I'll say....Cam lost a lot of respect around a lot of guys for the way he played in this game....that fumble wasn't half of it...that failing to dive on the ball was....

Before we can compare Cam to another QB....not even ours...others....THEY NEED TO WIN A GAME FIRST!

Goff needs to have a lame and one year outdated TD celebration before he can even request the media to give him the same respect as Cam.

Quit trying to fool us. He could go 8-0 to start the year and you'll still find a reason to be criticize him. I know it'll probably be something about his SPARQ being low and it shows his career won't be long enough to justify his draft slot or something :D

I agree. No qb in the league can compare the cam's douchebaginess. Not even close. Maybe Brady.

I guess I'll also add the fact that this new regime has been brought in to turn around this losing culture. It's not going to happen overnight, wish it would! I truly believe McVay and Co. will do what's in the best interest of this team-We not me... If that means eventually going in a different direction at QB, I think he'll make that call if it comes to that. Give them a chance!

And a victory as a starting NFL QB wouldn't hurt in gaining some of that respect. Jes sayin...
