I’ve been on the Goff bandwagon since before the 2016 draft.

After 2017, my faith in Goff was vindicated.

However, after 2017, I still had one lingering concern— could Goff step it up in crunch time, when the pressure was excruciating?

Yep. That unflappable, aw-shucks demeanor helps him in the biggest moments.

Goff is a great quarterback. Just took a big stage for him to show that to anyone who needed more convincing.

Goff played under pressure all the time at Cal. He started out in the worst possible circumstances with the Fisher middle school Rams, and promised to turn it around-- which he did. He played under unbelievable pressure and adversity against New Orleans. He will play even better in the Super Bowl.

If McVay and Goff defeat the Evil Empire it will be the stuff of which legends are made for both of them.

Part of me hates mentioning Goff in the same breath of Joe Montana (who was definitely the anti-Christ, and did all of his football deeds in the service of pure evil, but I digress). But one thing about Sata... I mean Montana was that he was absolutely unflappable ... and Goff seems to be the same way.

Man I am sooo freakin' glad he's on our team.

I said in the “Is Goff Elite” thread that Goff is on an Elite Trajectory, but that he can’t be called Elite until he proves himself under pressure in big games.

Goff has NOW shown the ability to carry his team on his back under the most extreme road pressure situations.

That Saints game was one for the ages.

If Goff has a big Super Bowl game and leads the Rams to Victory he’s going to start being talked about in the Elite conversation.

No doubt. This season has been incredibly challenging and he's gotten a lot of that seasoning some of us felt was necessary for him to be in that conversation. And him coming out of that game in New Orleans with a win and having played so well in brutal away conditions shows that he's part of that conversation now.

And what's cool is he is going to get better as he gets more of that seasoning too. Let's go get a championship then load the defense so we can win a few more before he's 30. :D

In the overtime, Goff made two incredible plays with pressure in his face that gave us the yardage for Greg Z to show that he may also he a HOF. And props to Hekker as the game winner FG was a bad snap. Let's finish the story and win the Lombardi. I can't even stand the thought of the Rams not winnings.

If Mahomes was the one who made those 2 plays they would run a 24 hour clip of them on ESPN and the sportswriters would sign a petition to immediately induct him into the NFL Hall of Fame.

It’s okay if others are behind on this, but Goff has been demonstrably elite all season.

OMG! NFLN complimented Goff all of them even the chick that hates us. Catch me before I hit my head.

Goff played a helluva game, especially from the neck up.

Huge game for Goff he kept his cool, played smart, overcame adversity and to me maybe most of all he had to do a lot of it without the comfort of clear easy communication from Sean. This could be that moment where he takes another step in self confidence. It seems he is constantly growing and learning from his challenges

I've been wrong about many Rams draft pick but when it came to Goff I never doubted. Not even in season one. At Cal he would take a licking and keep on ticking. Reminded me of Warner.

Goff must have been able to hear McVay somehow, otherwise he wouldn't know what to do!

Goff is awesome and we are lucky to have him. If we don't count his first year under Fisher, his record so far is 24 - 7. I don't think any QB should have to include their years with Fisher (at least with the Rams).

He has one of the best natural throws I have seen. His release could be a little quicker, but his arm motion is a thing of beauty. He throws a very catchable ball, always with the right touch on it and sweet spirals. He's great under pressure and consistently makes difficult passes that other QBs can't make. Yes, he misses a few, but they all do. In the last game he improved on his blitz performance, and he'll get better at that really soon, and I can see he is very coachable. He throws it away instead of tossing interceptions like other QBs do.

He's actually a pretty fast runner too although he doesn't like to scramble, but that's a good thing because he'll have a longer career that way. At first I was hoping we'd draft Wentz because of his feet, but when we drafted Goff and I studied the film, I was glad we got him. Fisher did not know how to game plan or understand play design, but he recognized talent. Our years with him were some of our worst, but at least he brought in some good players. I hope Goff stays with us a long time. He's one of the best and he's got a good attitude, a nice guy to work with. He's much better than he gets credit for simply because Fisher made him look bad his first year, and he's not a talker.
