The interception that wasn't is being called the game winning interception. But would it have been really?

The Broncos still had 3 time outs and there was more than a minute on the clock.

We all remember what should have been the game winning int against the seagulls last season. Mcvay called the most Bland runs that were snuffed out very easily for a very meh 3 and out. Then the special teams gave up a td. And just like that the game wasn't over.

What's to say Mcvay wouldn't have done the same thing in this game. I don't think I've ever seen Mcvay get a 1st down to ice a game. I'm sure he has but I don't remember any.

Broncos woulda forced a 3 and out. Got the ball near midfield with just under a minute. Nix woulda found wide open receivers and they woulda marched into the endzone for the game winning TD anyway. The difference is, we wouldn't had enough time left to end the drive in the redzone. In other words, we still woulda lost.

I don't think so, not if the ball was out in Kyrens hand. He was not going to let us lose that game.

Wow, that's assuming a lot!!!!

An attempt to add context to the play. He's getting flamed for it by the moron brigade...

McVay: “I didn’t have any additional coaching points for how Josh Wallace played through the snap.”

Regardless of the INT/DPI call, the call on Lake #37 was even more egregious IMO. That's where we are at now? Every time a player grazes a facemask, its illegal hands to face?

Let's look at the timeline:

1:01 left on the clock, Lake grazes facemask of WR
0:59 ball leaves Nix's hand
0:57 its clear the ball is going to land out of bounds, and the flag is thrown.

Flag thrown FOUR seconds after the "infraction".

Maybe we need an embellishment law and adjoining PF, this could help trigger a review or open up the option of a coaches challenge.

A lot of talk on the DPI, but I don’t think there’s enough mention of the Phantom Lake hands to the face call

Interesting I didn’t notice when the flag was thrown, but if that’s the case, it’s a pretty clear case of let’s keep the donkeys rolling

It was a 3rd down play that was incomplete. So the Rams stopped the Broncos twice only to have the refs throw a flag to extend the drive.
