Frank "Dubs" Dobozy 1959-2016

On Saturday morning at 1:30am Frank passed away. He was a writer over at TurfShowTimes, the best writer they had. I became friends with him when he first joined up at TST, and I am glad I did. We emailed each other from time to time and talked. He was one of the kindest fans I've ever met. He was a die hard Ram fan and a good friend who while being a great writer was also a great poster who was patient and kind. He was a cap guru and just an overall mastermind when it came to the Rams and anything football. He had a rams website called RamsinPerspective discussing the rams and cap info. He has been battling Cancer for some years and other demons, but fought and made it a long ways. The last few months things got worse and in the end lost the battle. Only thing I can say is now he doesn't have to fight through the pain anymore and can be at peace. This is a sad day for me and many others. Ram nation and the world just lost a great man. R.I.P.

It's with profound sadness to inform you that TST writer and the other half of Rams in Perspective passed away Saturday morning at 1:30am. Frank Dobozy was a great writer, fan, cap specialist, and most importantly friend. You will be missed.

I'll try to write a more appropriate and detailed tribute on Rams in Perspective, but wanted to share with his friends and followers. I'll try to add more when the shock wears off and I'm thinking clearer. Rest in peace my friend.

I always loved reading Frank's pieces in TST. He was a peacemaker and had a heart for all. It came through in his words and in his humor.

He had a great passion for the Rams and I appreciate all the information and perspectives he shared over the last couple years I've read his work.

My prayers go out for God to comfort his family and to pour out love upon them.

Damn fine writer...damn good guy...
When I first started looking at Rams info..in 2005-2006, I was always amazed at some of the knowledge of casual fans...I stumbled onto tst around 2010 and vowed to hang around....I think I first commented to dubs in 2012...he was the guy to told me to look for hammer..and then coach0...who brought me here...I'd read a few things on stlpd but wasn't impressed until I laughed at a report by Hammer & coach...
I had been really upset about the rams leaving LA...Anaheim was bad enough...but I still watched from afar...I felt proud in 1999-2004...and now this...
well, I never knew there were fans...like me...more than like me, knew more about football like me....and dubs was one of the first to open my eyes....
I love opinions...from the young 12 year-old punk...to the 83 year-old grizzled vet..
It's truly a pleasure to converse with all you guys, no matter how different our opinions may be (esp. you guys that don't think Quick's a beast or you gotta run a 4.5 to succeed)
Rams nation lost a real fan...damn...couldn't win one b4 he passed....I'm feeling sad...hadn't emailed dubs in a while...figured he was bad off...
I'm gonna tip a cold one up for dubs tonight...out here out west...feeling a little empty, for a guy a barely knew....
