15 years in Atlanta then Tennessee means he knows how not to do it.
Well, before Brian Xanders came to the Rams, he was in Denver and was fired as their GM and then with the Lions from 2013-2016 and everyone was upset to lose him to the Jaguars, so maybe it's really about Les Snead and the people that work with him, similar to McVay and Assistant Coaches.

Sure hope he doesn't bring any Titan or Falcon stank with him. Both of those organizations haven't drafted worth a darn for years now.....
But as always, in Snead we trust!!

Les Snead was able to wash the Falcon stink off of himself pretty well.

Oh I am sure it is precisely about the people Les wants to work with. Not worried about something like this tbh, because we have no idea when it comes to the scouting side and their accuracy rates in evaluation, whether they know when it's the right time to break from the groupthink pack, and all the other details that make up a good front office type.

So I took a look at the 2009-2012 Broncos just out of curiosity... He was promoted from within the org when they brought McDaniels in, who went out the door the next year. Not sure what his role was in the hire of McD, however at that moment in time I would not hold it against him for giving a top OC a look in his first decision while he was still cutting his teeth in the chair. Two drafts under McD were dogshit. The McD replacement was all him and he hired Fox, who I consider to be a strong hire. Also he drafted Miller the year Fox came in so that was all extensions of his decision making.

I have trust in Les’s system that he has developed over the years. It guides the scouts to find players with specific traits Snead and McVay are looking for. So it simplifies the scouts job and makes the entire system more plug and play when it comes to adding new people.
