It's expected that Florida State is set to begin process of leaving ACC

Florida State to the Big Ten is still a long way off , if at all ..............

you would think that Florida State to the SEC would make more sense , and it does , but the ACC media rights is with ESPN , same as the SEC

and Florida State is about to go to war with ESPN to get out of that media rights deal

so , will Florida State burn to many bridges with ESPN , most likely , if they were to get out of the ACC , and thats still a big IF , odds are , they would jump to the Big Ten

and the bigger question , what happens next , it's no secret that the Big Ten has had their eyes on North Carolina for some time now , will Clemson and Miami be next

Florida State , Miami , Clemson and North Carolina , over the next few months

it will be interesting to see what comes out of Florida States board of regents meeting tomorrow

the next step in to just being two super conferences

Man, I really got to say, I hate what's going on with college football right now. Between teams shooting all the way across the country to join a conference. The NIL money isn't going to be pretty either. Transfers like nothing we've seen before. You'd think the cost alone would prohibit a lot of these actions but broadcast money must have really really deep pockets.

Don’t think they will leave. That buyout is probably to pricey.

Lot of if's and but's

if it does go to court , there is only two outcomes , if Florida State won , they would have to pay , zero , nadda , if they lost , they would have to pay the full 572,000,000 , it's a either , or , kinda deal

but............

alot of the "experts" don't think it would ever get to court , to much dirty laundry would get out , and not just the ACC and the NCAA laundry , it could also get other conferences and networks involved , and they don't really want that

they would probably just settle out of court , where Florida State would just pay , maybe just half of that amount , or even less

but , then what happens with the other schools , I know there are at least 8 other ACC schools waiting to see what happens

Clemson , North Carolina and Miami want out as well

thats really the only reason the ACC added Stanford , Cal and SMU , because the ACC has to maintain a certain number of schools to remain a conference , it's like they already expected Florida State , Clemson and Miami to leave

but then the SEC doesn't want Florida State , the BIG TEN don't want them either , neither Florida State or Clemson are AAU schools , and don't even qualify for the BIG TEN , although , there is no rule set in stone that says a school HAS to be a AAU school to get into the BIG TEN , it's always been a main priority , but maybe FOX/ CBS would twist the BIG Tens arm to add Florida State , I don't think Clemson has any shot at the BIG TEN

more what if's

then what happens with North Carolina and North Carolina State , are joined at the hip , The BIG Ten wants North Carolina , but would they join the BIG Ten without North Carolina State , same with Virginia and Virginia Tech , are they a package deal only

there are even a bunch more ifs and buts , but it still all hinges on what happens with Florida State ,

will they pay the full 572,000,000 , probably not , will they settle out of court for a lesser amount

stay tuned , Florida State didn't call a special board of regents meeting the day right before Christmas vacation and then vote antonyms to start the procedures to leave the ACC for nothing

if they succeed or not , is anybody guess
