The next three games are rough man. Seattle, @ Tampa, and @ Arizona. Tampa looks like a playoff team to me right now with Winston in year 2 playin like a boss, and we embarrassed them last season. Right now I think Fish is praying that Keenum plays well enough to get them through those games and to week five.

Why week five? Because we have Buffalo, then @ Detroit, and Giants, followed by the bye week.

Now, IF Keenum sucks on Sunday? Well, I'd guess they insert the kid in the @ Tampa game and let him settle in there before going to Arizona.

Keenum is playing for his job this Sunday IMO. Fish needs him to show up and play well or he's done.

I'd say that if Keenum looks like a basket case in the first half, he might get replaced then. I mean, why not at that point?

Yeah my gut feeling is that Fisher puts Goff in if Keenum sucks in the first half of the Seahawks game.

I wouldn't be at all surprised to see Goff close out a game, then not start the following week.

If Goff is #2 this week, I would imagine this would be likely. Get him in there, see how he does. If he does well, might have to consider starting him sooner rather than later.

It would not surprise me if Goff starts this week. Being at home against a D that the staff is familiar with, and knowing that seattle doesnt do a lot of different things, making them a bit predictable, but what they do they do well.

That doesnt mean I expect Goff to start, just that it wouldnt surprise me, probably wouldnt surprise pete either.

I'm of that same line of thinking.........spot duty in safe situations while he learns. Just like Fisher did with McNair.

I've been saying this since we drafted Goff. He'll start between games 4-6 or come in to take over and run the show from there. It was blatantly obvious this was the course this all was going to run.

I'm inspried my young padawans.... Your starting to see what your master has been schooling you on. :D

I think it will be just coming off the bye week.

If I thought Keenum could survive that long I'd agree with you. But I don't think the dropoff right now from him to Goff is bad, and the kid will probably be just as ready by week 5ish as he would be for the bye (week 8). And right after the bye we play the Panthers, who are an aggressive defense like ours that bring it.

Whoever is the #2 QB this week will likely start the next game as I cant see Keenum being successful against Seattle
