In Week 6 action between the Los Angeles Rams and Detroit Lions, both teams provided fans in attendance a solid matchup. In the end, the Lions won a nailbiter of a game with the final score being 31-28.

In tough losses, it’s always best to be professional and do your best to bounce back the following game. As a head coach, it’s imperative to set the tone, culture, and expectations in victory and, even more so, in defeat.

Head coach Jeff Fisher once again displayed poor judgment and made a terrible decision just moments after the game. Fisher was so irate about the loss, he kicked out members of the media before talking to the team.

There is no doubt that the Rams have been underperforming so far this season after having some rather high expectations heading into 2016. After a second consecutive loss that puts them at 3-3 on the year, things aren’t going as envisioned for a franchise entering their first year in the city of angels.

Consistency is key, but in the grand scheme of things, so is handling everything in stride. Fisher undoubtedly must have given his team an earful following such a loss to hopefully ignite a fire under this team. At the same time, however, showed that frustration is easily flowing through the organization.

Overall, Fisher is facing pressure to deliver with a franchise that has its fanbase calling ultimately calling for quarterback Jared Goff to finally be unleashed to the football world. Maybe Fisher is feeling the heat. But at the end of the day, actions like this don’t bode well for the impressions he’s giving off that the Rams are already heading in the wrong direction.

Not sure how that's poor judgement and a terrible decision. Personally, I think it's good to see passion from the head coach and show he's not giving up and doesn't expect them too either. Sounds like some poor media goon has his panties in a bunch.

Fish still trying to get his extension didn't want the media to see him apologizing to the team for a 2nd game in a row where he made game losing calls.

My sons coach keeps giving his team an earful wondering why teams they should beat or have beaten they lose to.
1 answer comes to mind. Coaching
As the season goes on development and familiarity within the system will show which teams are getting better coaching.
We seem to suffer from the same problem year after year and that problem is consistency.

I think coaching is more important in football than in any other sport. I would rather have a world class coach than a world class (insert any position here - even quarterback)

Fisher isn't completely terrible at it, he is merely average. His real problem, in my humble opinion, is that he is too egotistical to recognize his own shortcomings. He needs to make a changes - actual changes. Not tougher talk or better effort - actual adjustments to the way he has always done things. To quote the late great Michael Jackson, he needs to "start with the man in the mirror."

Game losing calls? You are on the road at the half yard line with TG and its 4th and goal with a chance to get some big time momentum..

Fisher sees the flow of this game is offense so risking a 7 point lead vs 3 at halftime had some good reasons to go for it.. I thought that was the right call. I was surprised he went for it after they challenged the review from the catch.

That gamble did not loose this game today imo... The Lions won this game with their offense....

I liked going for it myself - but why run the clock down first?

The only thing you risk by going for it is losing 3 points you get the ball at half why not take the points. You lose the game by 3 by not taking the field goal

I wanted them to kick the field goal but they had the better chance before that booth replay that really hurt them and stopped their momentum. I think after that they really should have kicked the field goal

Because it was fourth down and he didn't want to leave any time on the clock if they didn't make it in. The players screwed up the play, obviously, it may not have worked even if they didn't screw it up but that made it a fail for sure.

Man if we're just gonna play Keenum all season...think of what we could have drafted defensively to actually contribute to the team. :(

The way I see it, if you don't make it, they have to snap it from their own 1. Who is more likely to score there?

to ensure they didnt have to kick off to Detroit before the end of the half would be my guess. Not risking a big return to put them in FG range or return to TD

When you look at it with hindsight sure those points were needed at the end. You still don't know how the game would've finished even making that field goal. Feel free to blame the game on Fisher if you want. For me Fisher made his coaching blunders last week vs the Bills not today imo...
