I don't like these guys, Skip, and S.A. Smith, but I'm glad that I listened to this.

My wife's first cousin is former San Francisco pither Kirk Rueter and we have never asked him for anything.

That's putting it mildly Doc...

Tank may be a good dude,,, but Stephen "A-hole" Smith and Skip Dickless are both major posers. Fuck those bitches.

I agree with Skip, I'm glad Tavon went public with this too. It's the truth.. people want your money. Tavon is a smart kid, he'll be fine though.

And I'm sure down the road he's going to be getting a huge contract. You know.. cause he'll be one of the best players in the league ;)

I think Tavon is smart to bring this to the attention of the media. This may be the new trend of smart money management regarding friends and family for rookies. Personally, being the oldest of 6 kids, my younger brothers and sisters learned a long time ago, call me if you are broke down in the desert between Barstow and Vegas, I'm there to help. But man, if you get in a hole financially and you want me to pay a credit card bill etc......., you can go to hell!I'm not an ATM. So, my Mom calls me for my brother, crying, wanting me to pay a $3400 credit card bill for my brother, who's wife has no idea how to manage money and the collection agency is after them. Turns out they had well over $50,000 in debt and had to file BK. I was furious they asked my mom for the money and then asked her to call me for the money. Even if we gave them the money, it was still not going to help. You can see how this can get out of hand real quick and they expect someone else to bail them out. I'm just a hard working stiff who lives within his means.

I just hope to fate that this doesn't turn out like a Tyron Smith situation...or worse.

If people were smart they would contact him before the draft ;) seeing as he was bound to go early and make bib bucks. Not that I do these things!

Good for the kid to deliver the shot across the bow of the moochers.
There should be no shortage of people to advise him in this regard,I'm sure there are plenty of recent Rams draftees who've experienced the same things.
When you are in business the calls come every day people wanting a handout, I often told people I could give everything the place made away if I wasn't careful

History can be the greatest thing, if you learn from it. Austin seems to have done some homework
