So they attached a special platform just for that potted plant? Gotta be a story behind the plant, right? -- can't just be a counter weight for the flag, can it?

Of course if they needed a safe spot to hide the emergency key, inside that pot would be a great place.

This is a multi-billion dollar stadium. Don't be an idiot....they'll use a fake rock, or one of those trick sprinkler head thingys for the spare key. :cautious:

The tree on the highest element of a building is an old construction tradition.

When the highest point is reached in construction, its called topping out and the tree or branch, while also a good luck charm, also let's other crews on other buildings under construction know it's been topped out

Man...can't stand the Charges logo on that beam. Can't the Charges get their own stadium? Really hate sharing it!

I have mentioned they should move to Sacramento. We have an old arena site waiting to be used. Perfect spot for a stadium in between two major freeways and three arterials. Light rail was planned to stop there too. Plenty of parking. Spanos backyard. Decent amount of Chargers fans.

Not a huge cost to build here.

If you're talking about Natomas, there might be a problem with the flood zoning.

He can't afford to build his own tent city let alone a stadium :)

Nah @RhodyRams, as part of the lease agreement Stan has Dean watering all the plants in the building. He just forgot to tell him where they will be located.

lol @ the chargers logo on there.
Dear Mr. Spanos,
The first time you're late on your rent payment your teams logo comes off. And anytime you're late again... Well let's just say I have what you might call, c
onnections, so other things may come off. Remember it's hard to write without thumbs.

Sincerely yours,
Mr. Stan Kroenke to you

Not worried about that. They built the Golden1 Center next to the river.
I know but that is downtown. Somehow the levies are better there. Natomas is in that flood plain, like the causeway to Davis that floods periodically. I think there was some manipulation of the zoning to downplay the historical flooding when they built up that area in the '80s and '90s. I remember reading about it.

We're never going to get our MLS team. We might as well just take over the Cal-Expo location and build a football stadium there.
