I just signed up for HBO NOW on my ipad, getting ready for Hard Knocks in August, and has watched seaon one of Game of Thrones......my, I love it...It's a total guy show in which no character (human, wolf, or horse) is safe from getting killed. I haven't seen season two, but I hope that little bastid blonde haired boy king, gets gutted like an animal soon!

last week tonight with john oliver. while funny, most of the topics he tackles show just how sad humanity really is. which is why i binge watch, cause after a few shows, i've had my fill of pathetic humans, laws, etc. for that particular time stretch.

I pretty much binge watch every show that I watch these days except the Dead shows. My wife absolutely HAS to watch them each week. Generally though, we only start watching shows that have two or three seasons worth on Netflix - either on DVD or streaming.

True Blood is the ultimate binge watching show IMO.

When I got turned onto it, I bought all the seasons that were out and literally stayed up all night watching them. First 4 seasons are just flat out intoxicating. Slows down a lot near the end though...gets pretty bad

After that I got HBO because I couldn't stand the waiting....read Game of Thrones books...don't really understand how anyone could just like the show...nothing really makes sense without knowing what happens in the books..

If you're talking strictly HBO shows I'd agree with True Blood... the first season is one of the best I've watched as far as tv addictions go. It goes a little crazy after that but never takes itself too seriously in a good way. True Detective season 1 is awesome (don't watch season 2 it is awful and completely different characters and story so you aren't missing anything).

If talking out of any shows absolutely watch Breaking Bad... arguably the best tv show ever and hugely satisfying as a binge watch. Dexter is good. I loved Mad Men but the first couple seasons are a little taxing at times. Walking Dead if you haven't ever watched it. That's a good start right there and you won't be disappointed.

West Wing and Sopranos for me.

Oops forgot Band of Brothers, but mini series probably doesn't count as binge.

If you liked Game Of Thrones season one , just wait , :sneaky: but I don't think I'd just call it a guy show , my wife also loves that show , and The Walking Dead , I'm sure I know just as many women who love GOT as men

If you're liking GOT , may I suggest Vikings on the History Channel , another excellent show , with the same tone as GOT

If you're just binge watching on HBO , Deadwood and The Sopranos are both very good

One new show I can not wait for on HBO is West World , but it keeps getting pushed back

Also liked Mad Men on AMC , the Marvel shows on Netflix are excellent as well

Binge watching is about the only way I watch TV now days , I almost never watch weekly shows anymore , other then reruns of sitcoms

The show I'm hooked on now is Penny Dreadful on Showtime

The wife and I are struggling to get into GOT. We've made it through 3 episodes. When does it grab you?

I didn't watch any of "24" until it was in its 7th season. Binge watched season 1 & 2 on DVD on a laptop. Literally couldn't stop
Breaking Bad was the worst though, I dvr'd the first 3 or 4 seasons during a marathon and literally couldn't sleep without knowing what happened next. In fact, when I'm tired, I still hear the intro music in my brain
HBO shows I binge watched and enjoyed, Season 1 of True Detective and (I appear to be alone on this one) I cant get enough of The Leftovers

I don't have much opportunity to binge watch these days, but I did binge watch Justified, and it was awesome. Great series, and unlike a lot of series, it had a great last season right up to the final episode and the very final scene. Strongly recommended.

My wife and son will be out of the country in June, plan to binge re-watch season one of The Expanse, a new series on SyFy. I will probably catch up on the current season of The Americans as well.

Lately I've been watching Californication on Netflix, but have avoided binging because I want to draw it out and enjoy it a little longer. Funny show, great characters.

Watch a bit further. If you don't get it then it just isn't for you I guess. I love it but my wife hates GoT. Ditto for Walking Dead and Vikings. My wife only likes present day shows based in reality.

We both really liked that series that came out this year with J-Lo in it, Shades of Blue. Lots of intrigue and twisting plots that keep surprising.

A lot of great shows I watch have already been named so I'll go with a few shows I re watch every so often. The office (us), scrubs, how I met your mother, and red dwarf.

A few that are going still going now would be the flash, arrow and legends of tomorrow.
