Previewing Rams Week One Matchup vs. Houston Texans

The Houston Texans are steaming ahead with a new offense under former Rams tight ends coach Nick Caley and a roster that added a ton of talent across the board.

He's right, it will be a huge test. And they need to get off to a faster start in 2025. But we don't know yet what 45 guys are going to be dressed for the matchup, so definitely a re-visit at the end of August will be better.

the texans will be a test, to be sure, and hopefully a preview of the powerhouse rams team about to be unleashed...

let this game be a warning to those in denial...

the rams are coming, you better get your ass out of the way...

Because of the McVay no starters in preseason games approach.
Which I very much agree with.
Our offense has been known to start out sluggish.

However a new system install for Texans could cause them to get a slow start as well
with Nico Collins already the top target, the Texans spent a a high 2ND and a mid 3rd @ WR position

Stroud was sacked 52 times last year. It's not all on the oline Stroud will hold the ball far too long at times.

Joe Mixon, Nick Chubb running the ball. makes for a pretty good test for our run D

The Texans on defense have a serious pass rush off the edge and a good ball hawking secondary.

MHO. The Rams have to be able to pound the ball right at the Texans.
Rams are gonna need Corum and Hunter to step up and be productive so
Kyren is still fresh in second half

If the Rams can run the ball on Texans and put Stroud on the ground enough to throw off his rhythm
No reason we can't open with a winner.
