Then convince him its better to make the same money with less renown than to go to a shitty franchise and get washed out in 2 years because, I mean, The Jets? Chargers? Bears? Get a few rings and cement that legacy and then when he jumps, he'll have more leeway to really build a team instead of how "whiz kids" seem to get very little room if they don't make an immediate change.

I really hope he stays.

Ah, I gotcha. Maybe Staley wants a fast track to being a HC, maybe he thinks the best way to win championships in the short term is teaming with McVay and this roster. But yeah, I assume after a certain point, its about career advancement instead of just money.
