Great game by ED, but one of the worst games by a QB EVER! Dieter Brock sucked.....

That was my senior year of high school. Watching that game was basically like the best Christmas present I ever received.

Freshman year for me, sat there watching it with my whiner fan family was great. The next week however...

ED still mentions that from time to time. I've heard him talk about rookie QBs and say... man, if we just had him we could have taken down those bears.

This was the year I began recording games on video and starting a library. I remember missing the long Irvin INT when I forgot to unpause it after commercial. I watch the youtube version these days, even though for some reason the Rams colors look very lemon yellow.

Tom Landry’s last playoff game and we sent him home bloody and beaten.

Wow, I didn't realize that little tidbit - thanks!

For other trivia, if anyone is interested:

- Roger Staubach's last game as a pro was a playoff loss to the Rams, in Dallas (the Ferragamo-to-Waddy game ... God that was awesome)
- Fran Tarkenton's last game as a pro was a 34-10 thumping by the Rams in a playoff game at the Coliseum the year prior to the Dallas game with Staubach.

Those two were both the Rams nemesis in the 1970's, and it pleases me to no end that it was the Rams that ushered them out the door on their careers.
