With the need of a pass rusher, even though he’s getting up there in age, I wonder if we pick him up? If I remember correctly he played for Wade in Denver, just throwing it out there, as I haven’t seen it posted yet...

Thoughts? Enlighten me if he’s terrible now, I didn’t watch him play last year, 9ers fans don’t seem too happy they didn’t keep him though
 
Oh, he’s better than nothing. Not elite anymore I don’t think. Would be a good 1 year rental since we’re severely lacking in OLBer pass rushers and Wade is familiar with him. Probably a 5-8 sack guy.

He was pretty productive in limited snaps last year. He would be worth a look, but if he could produce 7 sacks in 3rd down situations he could be a valuable cog. He played almost only in passing situations last year and had 6.5 sacks.

Is there enough of a difference between him and either or Barwin or Longacre to justify a higher price tag?

Ah, thanks for the clarity, I don’t expect a signing then, but wouldn’t be opposed to it if our staff feels he is a fit, even as a rotational player

Did he? Geez, thought he was there the first year. Either way, he's a situational pass rusher. A signing I'd make if we don't find anyone better in FA or the draft. By then he might be gone though.
 
He's a June type get now due to age etc.
 
He'd be interesting as a pure pass rush specialist, but I'm not sure if we'll be looking for that.

I imagine he would be cheap and more productive than Barwin in terms of generating pass rush.

I wouldn't mind bringing him in for a year.
