I have defended my decision not to pay out on this bet elsewhere, but I will do it once again in this thread.
There wasnt a definitive winner in the "Next Rams Cut' book. The team announced the releases of both Jake Long and Scott Wells at the same time, there by making both of those bets non-winners seeing as though neither player was released prior to the other. And since these two players were simultaneously released, the bet of "Other" is there by null and void, since 2 players previously named in the book were released. It was suggested that both the Wells and Long bets be paid off to settle it, but that is like betting on 2 football teams to win the same game, it cant happen. Now, if some member here can get in contact with the listed players agents, or the players themselves, and find out EXACTLY what time they were released, and determine a winner, then go right ahead and share that info with the board here. I am sure there are about a dozen other folks that would like to know
And even if I did settle the bet, that would have been more ROD $$$ that were have been unceremoniously stripped from your accounts on the reset,making you folks even more pissed off than you are now.
I have been filling in at the Sports Book desk for about a week now. I did not set up that book and had to work closely with the mods to get the book assigned to my name just so I could settle it and start with a fresh slate. At this point in time, I wish I left the bet alone.
Now if you'll excuse me, I have to go spend about an hour doing the book for todays hockey games, which most will not receive bets on them, but if I don't put them up, some people will complain.
