This game at Detroit probably and very likely will determine if the 2016 Rams are able to win more than 7 or 8 games.

History doesn't lie and when we ignore it, the same things almost always happen again. There is a trending truth about Jeff Fisher's Rams teams with a telling story about them starting 3-3.

With the usual common issues on offense, this 2016 Rams 3-2 team better not become another 3-3 Fisher team.

Many Rams fans might balk at the significance and impact that this game has next Sunday, but I believe this is coach Fisher's most important game since being hired as the head coach.

Do not let this team Fall to 3-3 Jeff Fisher. History doesn't favor your teams starting 3-3 and this 2016 team is not protected from your past. It is a different team but there are too many of the same issues that wiped out your other 3-3 teams.

Fisher has started the season 3-3 three different times as head coach of the Rams
and his current team is 3-2 but on the brink of going 3-3 unless he can get this team to pull off a historical win at Detroit this coming Sunday.

2012 started 3-3 and then lost 3 of the next 4 games with the offense scoring 20, 7 & 13 points in those losses.. Final 2012 record 7-8-1

2013 started 3-3 and then lost 3 of the next 4 games with the offense scoring 15, 9 & 21 points in those losses. Final 2013 record 7-9

2015 started 3-3 and then lost 5 of the next 6 games with the offense scoring 18, 13, 13, 7 & 3 points in those losses.. Final 2015 record 7-9

2016 started 3-2 and DETROIT now becomes the signature game for Jeff Fisher. He's never had his Rams start a season 4-2 and this is why history is on a crash course for another 7-9 season if they loose at the Lions den.

I agree and said as much with my reply to you in another thread.

Although starting 3-3 again last year is correct, we won the very next game and stood at 4-3.

Then lost a hard-fought close one @ Minnesota who was a good team. Shake it off.

So we were 4-4 with the shitty Bears coming into the dome and the Rams received an inexplicable beatdown. THAT loss was the crossroads game IMO. This Detroit game next week could be that same type of measuring stick.

Shouldn't the title of that book be,

Regardless of them going from 3-3 to 4-3 in 2015 they still started the season 3-3 and that is the trend that Fisher needs to break...

3-3 will likely doom this team and sap some of their confidence going to London to take on a desperate Giants team that has an air attack that could put up 30 points. 4-2 changes the history and could set this team on course for something we are not used to seeing with Fish...

But yes Mojo I remember last year very clearly and I have a strong feeling that if Fisher can get them to 4-2 things will be different this time.

I get it, it's a, 'what have you done for me now' league. As other sane members of this forum have pointed out this hyperbole is getting a tad bit ridonkulous. It's a loss get over it. Move on

I'm pretty sure everyone was saying we would be 3-2 right now in the offseason so we are right on schedule lol

Starting good is important. Finishing good is equally important. It's what Fisher's Rams have done in the middle of the season that has killed them, without fail, every season.

Year...... Gm 1-6... Gm 7-10... Gm 11-16
2012........3-3............0-3-1........... 4-2
2013....... 3-3.............1-3............. 3-3
2014....... 2-4.............2-2..............2-4
2015........3-3.............1-3..............3-3
Total........11-13.......4-11-1..........12-12

He's been under .500 just once in four years in the first 6 games and once in four years in the last 6 games. But he's only been .500 once in four years in the middle. Go 3-1 or 4-0 there and there's a chance to make the last 6 weeks count for something other than a drive towards .500. Certainly a 4-2 start would be a first but losing 3 of the next 4 just makes it a .500 record, and that has happened 3 out of 4 years.

I checked 'Disagree'! Because I just don't see History repeating itself this time around! Fisher has said ' no more 7-9 ... it's unacceptable!' And I'm a believer, no matter how bad last weekend looked!
Fisher said in an interview last Saturday Night, on CBS, that he has told the Team he breaks the Season into 4 quarters, we went 3-1 in the 1st quarter, going into Sundays game, as far as he was concerned the Team was at 0-0.
So IF we go 3-1 in every quarter I'll be happy!!(y);):D

Good points and nice chart breakdown PARAM..

My point is that games 7-10 will change if Fisher can get them to 4-2 can have an impact on the team Psych and have them believing in themselves with a different confidence as opposed to loosing 2 straight and being 3-3...

I think 3-3 going to LONDON vs NYG is a whole different set of circumstances.. We will see if History stays true...

4-2 they beat NYG... 3-3 the likely get beat and fall to 3-4.. same old 7-9 story repeats itself.. we shall find out soon enough.

I think that "Mid Season Schedule" This year looks pretty good for the Rams at this point of the Season!

Those numbers are ugly to look at . Fisher has shown no improvement and the record proves it . All they need is a QB to get over the hump . Yea I know I'm beating a dead horse .
