Mims was a 2nd round pick in 2020. He showed some flashes in his rookie year but has since tailed off.
I know several on this Board were interested in him at one time.
If we can get him cheap enough is he worth a try out in training camp??

Probably no point since we're still trying to develop Tutu.
Actually Mims and Tutu are entirely different types of wide outs. Mims is the big physical dude that we were hoping that A. Robinson would be last year.
I still think that Staff prefers the big guys as he had good chemistry with several of this kind in Detroit...

I liked Mims coming out of college, but not followed him in the pro’s.

Can it be one of those deals where they trade us a 6th round pick to take him? :D

Worth a try I guess. Should always look @ every player possible. BUTTT they did sign Demarcus Robinson not too long ago.

.

the jets could have traded him away two years ago for much better value.

was always in their doghouse and couldn't get out. why did they leave him buried on their roster for two years with no chance of rising up the depth chart?

they're a weird team.

Lol I was thinking of Jalen Reagor. Don't post when the edible kicks in. I guess he's going to Detroit I think he might be sneaky good. The Jets were so bad in his time there it's hard to give too much credence.

The throw the ball around with Goff. If he’s got any skills they should show. If not it’s a short career.

Talent is there. Where his head is, who knows. But it's hard to blame everything on him when that offense has been dysfunctional as hell starting at QB. He's been part of it, of course, but wouldn't be the first time someone got it right after a fresh start.
