NFL Media Insider Ian Rapoport reports, per a team source, and NFL Media's Albert Breer reports the Dallas Cowboys have released outside linebacker Demarcus Ware. The Cowboys announced the move Tuesday afternoon.
It's a stunning move because the Cowboys so often make sentimental decisions in personnel. Usually, they hold on to lesser aging veterans for way too long. Now Jerry Jones is saying goodbye to the best Cowboys player over the last 15 years.

Holy cow, I never saw this happening. I know he's more of a 3-4 OLB, so he won't fit here, but I'm sure someone will want him

On a side note, I just don't see how the Cowboys will be decent next year
 
I guess that's the Romo effect.

Or... I should say; lack of planning.

This is why I'm confident in our Rams... Demoff has a salary cap spreadsheet that goes beyond one season. Some teams, don't.
 
Wouldn't be at all surprised to see him wind up in AZ. Hope not.
