Agree, we should definitely play more aggressive. I'd love to give our rush any extra time to sack the QB.I sure hope that if Lamar sits out Sunday the Defense has a more aggressive approach and doesn’t let Rush stand back there and pick this secondary apart. Maybe theyll come out aggressive and play angry.
I cant believe Mcvay approved of that gameplan.Jones was throwing within 1.5 to 2 secs every fricken throw and they were almost always with 5 yards of the line of scrimmage.
Shula had a terrible game plan that day. He needs to rethink his game plan for Baltimore.
Maybe they were more concerned with their corners getting beat and decided to "play it safe". Lack of confidence?I cant believe Mcvay approved of that gameplan.
I can't believe Shula didn't make any adjustmentsI cant believe Mcvay approved of that gameplan.
Id rather put faith in our dline getting to the qb on deep routes than giving a 7 yard cushion every play. Plus our safety's have been playing faily well.Maybe they were more concerned with their corners getting beat and decided to "play it safe". Lack of confidence?

This better not be the case. They stood pat on this secondary because they said it was good enough to win with. They lost one DB and now it isn't good enough to defend a bunch of bottom of the roster WRs?Maybe they were more concerned with their corners getting beat and decided to "play it safe". Lack of confidence?
Playing not to lose is a good way to lose. We shouldn't play scared. Would rather have an aggressive defense that imposes it will as much as possible.Maybe they were more concerned with their corners getting beat and decided to "play it safe". Lack of confidence?
That's where I don't understand why these adjustments can't be made as soon as possible. Just lessening the cushion the DBs were giving and having LBs looking for that short in/slant would have helped give our D line more time to get to Jones. But ironically, that's how rat boy's game plan almost always works against the Rams because of the pass rush. That's why I couldn't believe we were down 14-0 and their longest play from scrimmage with like 8 yards.
That said, the Rams really could use one shut down corner. If the front 7 can't get immediate pressure, the back end often gets toasted.
Beat by whom? Bourne (whom admittedly I’ve seen as a decent WR on shitty teams over the years) and McCaffrey were all they had.Maybe they were more concerned with their corners getting beat and decided to "play it safe". Lack of confidence?
That defensive gameplan would’ve been just fine if it was the Rams’ offense that opened up with 14 unanswered pts
