Jared Goff has arrived.

No, he hasn't won a Super Bowl but the hedging by experts just died tonight. He is accurate and will shred your defenses, NFL. McGenius' is dialing up plays in which Goff deals the cards, and they're Aces high. Every game I have seen since Fisher threw Goff into the fire, I've heard "Just Stop Gurley" and that's the game. Pick your poison, boys. So far, the Los Angeles Rams are unstoppable.

Tonight was his comin out party. He basically dismantled the Vikes with pinpoint accuracy. Tomorrow the fallout from the media is gonna be hilarious. :p

Watching the shows this morning and they’re saying it’s a simple choice by defenses and that is that they’re not going to play nickel because of the threat of Gurley and in base defense a lb has to cover. I think 3 of those tds had Barr in coverage. Clearly the Rams found something, I don’t know why the Vikes stayed with it especially when they got within 3.

Rams offense can beat you at all levels, run, pass, over the top, intermediate routes (that they love), and then they'll hit you with a gurley screen for 25

they will run jet sweeps or they may not (they didn't use it much)

you can tell mcvay is constantly altering his looks and plays

no teams have dbs that can match up with our receivers

Yeah foolishly it looked like the Vikings were crowding the line of scrimage...

It didn't work against the run or the pass.. as we could do either at will.

For sure it's a pick your poison deal right now. There are playmakers all along the LOS.

But..........

The differences between his WR's and OL from his rookie year are also making a HUGE difference. And lets not forget that was Gurley's "lost season".

If the OL played last year and this year like it did in his rookie year things would look different.

Snead gets a tip of the hat here too is what I am saying.

He went and got Goff which was a HUGE move.........then he made deals all over to improve the roster exponentially.

This team is sitting pretty right now. I know there will be losses this season but I fully expect a trip to the SB right now.

The problem for opposing DCs is that the Rams O went from a middle school offense to a post-doctoral studies offense, and they can’t keep up!

They're going to start blitzing Jared Goff a lot more. Got to get pressure on him and throw off his timing.

All 5 of his TD passes, Minnesota didn't go with more than four rushers. That doesn't work.

Let em’. Good luck trying to Jam our WRs on the LOS. And then, good luck on covering the slants and screens. They blitz, Gurley will kill them in the screen game as well as the hot read on dump offs.

We saw how that worked out last season when teams got screened to death w/Gurley for chunks.

There's really only one way to beat this years O. Get pressure with four. What teams out there can do it CONSISTENTLY though? Not many. I felt like the Vikings were one of those teams but they couldn't do it the other night.

You said it, most teams can't beat the Rams offensive line with just four. The Rams have options to counter the blitz, but If I'm a DC, after TNF, I'll eat some chunk plays on screens if I'm putting Goff on his back on other plays . Goff surveying the field and throwing 50 and 70 yard TD passes, I can't let happen.

That's fair. If I'm likely to lose either way, I'm losing in the way that hurts you the most. Good plan.

Gurley just dictates everything, and Goff makes the right audibles. Having a RB that can do everything is killing teams. Load up on Gurley, and it's play action, or we empty the backfield, and Gurley, or somebody, ends up matched against a LB playing zone. IF the team tries to play dime the whole game, we will Gurley them to death, and still beat them on play action.

All teams can really do is get us in bad situations on 3rd and longs, through holds, or stupid plays, and we are just not going to give that to them with any consistency. I guess you just have to take your shots, and try to hide your coverages, and blitzes, but Goff and Co. are just too good right now. It's going to take a Bizzaro McVay to beat McVay.

I agree that this will be a popular strategy...probably won’t work.

Teams have tried blitzing. The OL, Gurley, and Higbee have been amazing at picking them up. The only way our offense will be stopped is if a team can get home rushing four and can slow Gurley down. Or they can hope Goff has an off day. Because if he plays like he did against Minnesota and San Diego, it'll be very tough for anyone to beat us. That Vikings defense is no joke, even if we made them look bad.
