2 of the 4 guys he mentions played for the rams last year. I think next year he will say the same (amount of ram corners)

Last year, riding in my car, listening to MNF...Boomer is describing how Revis is getting misused by Sammy Watkins...the next day, I looked in the paper, and Sammy only had like, 2 catches....but still, the memory of how Boomer E. described how open Sammy really was stuck in my mind...The next time I saw Revis play, I think Nuke Hopkins was eating his lunch too...I like how Revis is a serious businessman, made the most of his talent & opportunities....but right now, he couldn't hold Tru's jock as far as coverage is concerned...

Now that the Team is in L.A. and getting more attention, Next Years Top 100 Players is going to have a lot of Rams on it, And Tru will be the Top CB!!

Dont get too excited guys. No one has maneuvered FA better than Revis so he definitely knows the salaries of the top corners. Seems like he was just listing guys by salary Jenkins, Sherman, Peterson, and Tru are all among the highest paid corners in the league. He only really missed Joe Haden who was hurt all year and Norman who is zone guy

I think he is studying salary more than tape:LOL:

I like Johnson. A lot. But rating him as a top 5 CB is bit too flattering. And I say that as one of his bigger fans. The man is a great player and a joy to watch. He has all the tools and is truly a rare commodity in terms of his combo of size/length, loose hips, big hit ability, and ball hawk skills.

Still, Johnson hasn't played even a single season as the Rams' #1 CB. So how the heck has he proven he is top 5 in the NFL?! Although he has covered the opposition's top receiver from time to time (e.g. Calvin Johnson last year), those assignments have been sporadic at best. Those duties always fell to Jenkins. TruJo has also struggled with quicker receivers at times. The Rams made the right move franchising Johnson. If he wants elite money he needs to truly earn it.

No matter where he ranks among NFL CBs, I am really excited to watch Johnson this year. His previous campaign was one of the more assertive breakout seasons I've seen among CBs recently - both in terms of the numbers he posted and in terms of passing "the eye test" watching him Sundays. It will be really interesting to see if he can duplicate (if not improve upon) his performance last season as his responsibilities increase, switches from playing in the mid-west to one of America's biggest and most high pressure markets, and the NFL becomes officially on notice as to his talents.

I still disagree look at his highlight tape. Besides a hobbled Megatron he didn't cover nobody for real. He would of got torched by calvn if not for Stafford sucking. ... IHe has potential to be a number 1 but I'm not sold yet.

So your telling me when Tru makes something happen it's because the QB sucks and when Janoris makes something happen its because he has all world talent?:redcard:
Hold up folks there is a red card that just came out... Lockedon21 you are escorted out the arena sir.

This myth that Tru didn't cover #1 receivers is also false. JJ was not shadowing the opposing teams best receiver at all times because the Rams corners usually stuck stuck to their sides. In fact Tru was lined up to the strong side offensive formation more often because he played left corner. Moreover Tru was more of the match up CB because when neccesary he trailed the opposing teams bigger receivers like Michael Floyd and Calvin Johnson

Watch the tape who does he really cover besides cj

Seriously? Go rewatch

Even though these highlights don't tell anything close to the full story they still show him covering the opposing teams number one outside guy nearly every highlight. I don't know how you missed it.

Amari Cooper- Raiders number 1
James Jones- Was Packers number 1 outside guy last year
Stephon Diggs- Vikings Number 1
Michael Floyd- Cardinals number 1 outside guy
John Brown- Cardinals number 1a on the outside
Alshon Jeffrey- Clear cut bears number one on the outside (and shadowed him most of the game)
Mike Evans- clear cut Tampa number 1
Tyler Locket/Doug Baldwin- Baldwin plays more in the slot but he still covered him and lockett passed Kearse as Seatle's number one outside threat
Torrey Smith- San Frans number 1 on the outside
Antonio Freaking Brown- Come on man!!

Some of these guys aren't world beaters, but most of them were the number one outside option on their team. If a number 1 WR was lined up to his side Tru was covering him

I mean seriously this might be bad to say but he really reminds me of Craig Dahl except returns a touchdown every now and again. Dude seriously takes some absolutely horrid angles... Gives up big touchdowns or big 1st downs at the most important times to give away a game. And the the myth that he only covers is busted just by watching these and many other gifs where he gets broken down by 2nd and 3 rd string WR's. I'll enjoy seeing him beat like a drum in NY without as good of a D line as we have here and we'll see how he does then.

He got torched by James Jones. Jones didn't do anything until Tru was on him. Come on now Amari was a rookie in preseason...... The point is he didn't cover them consistently Because he had Jenkins there
