One of my personal All time Favorites. LB - Jim Youngblood: ( for you younger Fans, No him and Jack weren't Brothers)

Jim Played for the Rams for 12 Seasons, from 1973-1984. some Great years!

He took part in the two BIGGEST Beat downs of the Seahawks Ever!! ( By the Rams) More on this Later!

He was a 2nd round Draft pick,#42 over-all

Jim played in 152 games, and 15 of those where play-off games

About those beatings of the 'Hags, To Tease you!
We beat them in their House 24-ZIP!

But the real Story is in How Badly! More later

Jim had 14 Int's , for 262 Yds. in his career, 4 for TD's

Only Played in 1 Pro-Bowl, Probubly because of other Talent on our Team at the time he Played!
( Jack Reynolds, Isiah Robinson, Carl Ekern, To name just some of the LB's)

OK! Let me preface this by saying I think we can do this the same way this year!
In 1979 we went into Seattle and Stomped the shit out of the 'Hags! 24-zip doesn't begin to tell the Story! The Rams:
Rushed the Ball 63 times for 303 yards! 8 players, including Pat Hayden carried the Ball. None for more than 90 yards. McCutchen had 82 yards and Wendell Tyler had 89.
That's just part of the game.
Hayden Passing record was 17 for 21 and 2 TD's

And on Defense we Sacked Jeff Zorn 6 Times!
Zorn went 2 of 17 for 25 yards Total!
And we Only allowed them to Rush for a Total of 23 yards!

This was Our Super Bowl Year, When we met up with the steelers!

I would love to do the Same thing in their House this year!!

The short story; In 1976 at home, we Spanked the 'Hags 45-6!
We rushed 46 times foe 206 yards and 2 Td's while we went 16 of 28 for 234 and 3 Td's Passing!
Oh! and we sacked them 5 times!

Here are a few more, Do you remember them!?!

* LB Gene Breen - 1967-1968

( this is all I could find of him photo wise!)
He only played in 10 games in his 2 seasons with the Rams, and had No recordable stats.

* LB - Quinton - Culberson - 2007-2009

He played in 31 games in his 3 seasons with the team ..

.. he had 2 passes defended / and 2 FF and 1 FR ..

.. to go with 64 Tackles and 11 assists.

He played hard, but was on a bad team!

* LB - Na'il Diggs - 2010

He only played 1 season for us, but he gave it his best.

In 12 games he had 2 passes defended / 1 FF / 1 FR / 28 Tackles and 8 assists.

Here he seemed to get to Campbell at the same time as Laurinaitis!

I know I've cover LB Jim Youngblood's stats well ..

He well always be a favorite of mine! But here are a few more stats on the rest of the Players.

* LB Fred Strickland 1988-1992

In his 5 seasons with the Rams he played in 63 games and had 2 INT's for 56 Yds. and 3 FR's to go with 7 sacks and 167 Tackles.

* MLB - Mike 'Tarzan' Henry - 1962-1964

He played in 42 games in his 3 seasons and had 6 INT's for 53 Yds. w/ a long of 28 Yds. and he had 3 FR's.

* LB Jim Purnell - 1969-1972

in 4 seasons he played 55games and had 3 INT's for 34 Yds. and 4 FR's.

* LB - Darren Bates - 2013-2015

He's gone now, but He'll always be remembered for the "JUMP!"
But in his 3 seasons he did have 1 Pass defended 2 FR's for 11 Yds. and 1 TD! in his 44 games with the Rams. To go with 16 TKL's and 2 assists.

* LB - Cedric Figaro - 1995-1996 ( Still can't find a photo!)

In his 31 games he had 1 FF / 1 Fumble / 2 FR's / and 1 sack to go with 12 TKL's and 2 assists.

* LB - Paris Lennon - 2009

he was only with the Rams 1 season and played 15 games. he had 1 FF / 3 Fumbles / and 35 TKL's w/ 7 assists.

#53 is one of just a few non-retired numbers not worn by a 2018 Ram player.
