The Giants reportedly expect starting left guardGeoff Schwartz to potentially miss an extended stretch of time with a dislocated toe.
Speaking to reporters Saturday, Giants coach Tom Coughlin said Schwartz and reserve wide receiverMarcus Harris “are going to be a long while, probably” with injuries suffered in Friday’s night’s exhibition vs. the Jets, Ralph Vacchiano of the New York Daily News reported.
The Giants added the 28-year-old Schwartz in free agency in their efforts to revamp their offensive line. He graded out as the NFL’s ninth-best guard in Pro Football Focus‘ ratings last season with Kansas City.
Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reported Schwartz would see a specialist regarding his injury.
