They do make a valid point re: Wash electing that the run game wasn't going to beat them. Reminds me of the days of yore when I would look at the stat line and pick out good things like "oh hey nobody has run for 100+ yards on us in X weeks."

Rams had a patient approach and played field position and built that lead like it was a playoff game. They're a nicely tuned team for how early we are in the season IMO. :beer2:  (y)

Simms just struggles to truly recognize how excellent Goff plays. I will say Simms does show he watches and understands the game. His comments on the schemes Mcvay uses and his observation that the Rams came out passing to setup the run because of the Wash front four is accurate. If Simms could get over his Biases which he is blind to and doesn't realize everyone else sees, then he has a chance to be a decent analyst. At least he shows he understands the game rather than some of the talking heads that can't show they know what's really going on out there besides some highlights. I give him credit for finally acknowledging Goff's ability this week, but he needs to drop the bias that everyone else sees. It truly corrupts the integrity of his otherwise solid analysis.

Oops. Jerry Leroy Goff is a former Major League Baseball player. Primarily a catcher, Goff was listed at 6 ft 3 in and 207 pounds. He batted left and threw right.

I had never heard of him.....

....therefore he couldn't have been famous.
