Jon Taffer enlists NFL star Chris Long and Barstool Sports blogger Dan Katz (Big Cat) to do recon at a St. Louis sports bar, and...well, let's just say the Reuben Nachos were a bad idea. New episodes of Bar Rescue premiere Sundays at 9/8c on Spike. Subscribe for more Bar Rescue: spke.co/1pmVCvW

I watched that episode debut, and I immediately wondered when it was going to be posted on here.

Those were some of the most lazy slugs I've ever seen working there. Did that bar owner not give two craps about her own bar?

I think that place might have already closed down...

Edited: They've just changed the name. Not very popular and don't know too many folks who frequent this place. I work downtown and have never been there.

It looked very staged to me..........like a reality show that isn't really real.

Yea, I turned it off when I saw they were filming the cook putting the burger meat in the microwave. Not too top secret when you have a camera guy in your kitchen.

Exactly LOL.........contemporary TV shows rely on drama so much that they aren't even interesting.

This one looks to be dreck.

It's a real show, and Tapper does make real changes like you see.
However, the long-lasting effects of his changes are really low, and the success stories after he leaves are even lower.
So, yeah, it's all about drama and ratings grabs.

Chris Long “very energized” by move to Patriots

Defensive end Chris Long has never played in a playoff game since entering the NFL in 2008 as the second overall draft pick by the Rams.

The Patriots didn’t make the playoffs during Long’s rookie year, but they have been there as the AFC East champs the last seven years. During a Thursday conference call to discuss his move to the team, Long said he wasn’t “bent out of shape” about being released by the Rams because he felt like he was in need of a fresh start. The prospect of being part of the team that extends that streak of division titles had him feeling recharged.

“The last eight years have been difficult,” Long said, via WEEI.com. “I’ve worked as hard as humanly possible over the past eight years, but I’m going to find the next gear — whatever it is. I’m very energized just by being a part of this thing. The past eight years is the past and the future is unwritten. It’s unwritten for 32 teams. Everybody’s got to earn it.”

Long said he thinks he “can bring a lot to the table,” something he didn’t do in his final two years with the Rams as injuries limited him to 18 games and sapped his effectiveness. Playing on a deep Patriots line could help him end that trend while making it to the postseason for the first time.

Chris Long vows to find 'the next gear' with Patriots

  • Rams, veteran defensive end Chris Long picked the right spot to spend the twilight years of his NFL career.

Long turned down more money elsewhere to sign a $2.375 million contract with the perennial AFC East champion New England Patriots.

"The last eight years have been difficult," Long said this week, via the Patriots' official website. "I'm certainly motivated to be the best me I can be and try to help.
"When I entered free agency, I said whatever team I end up on, I'm going to work. I've worked as hard as humanly possible :notsure:over the last eight years but I'm going to find the next gear:huh:, whatever it is. :thinking:I'm very energized by just being a part of this thing.":palm::wtf:

The Pats got Long at a tremendous discount because knee and ankle injuries have limited him to just four sacks in 18 games over the past two seasons.

"The last two years I've made no excuses about it," Long continued. "I feel very good right now and that's all I can say."

Joining a deep defensive line that features Jabaal Sheard, Rob Ninkovich, Terrance Knighton and recent first-round draft picks Dominique Easleyand Malcom Brown, Long is one of our favoriteunder-the-radar signings of the offseason.

If he can recapture pre-injury form at age 31, Long will be New England's most disruptive pass rusher this season. He averaged 75 combined quarterback sacks, hits and hurries from 2010 to 2013, per Pro Football Focus, second only toCameron Wake's 76 average over that span.

As referenced on NFL Now last week, the Belichick-era Patriots have a knack for squeezing production out of aging defensive stars given up for dead by their former teams.

Rodney Harrison turned in an Indian summer All-Pro season at age 31 after the Chargers released him. In his age-33 season, Roman Phifer was the second-leading tackler on the 2001 squad that upset his former team -- the Rams -- in Super Bowl XXXVI. Hall of Famer Junior Seau gave thePatriots valuable snaps in his late thirties when conventional wisdom suggested he washed up.

For age, track record and expected role, Andre Carter's 2011 season is an apt comparison. Misused in his final year with the Redskins, Carter thrived as a 32-year-old edge rusher in New England, posting double-digit sacks -- including a single-game franchise-record 4.5 in a November win over the Jets -- before a quadriceps tear ended his season in mid-December of 2011.

It will be interesting to track Long's 2016 production versus that of Chandler Jones, the Pro Bowldefensive end he's replacing in Belichick's front seven.

hmmmm, i dont see anywhere in there where he talked bad about the Rams, i do see him saying its was on him for not performing up to snuff the last 2 years, all this is saying is that he wants to put it in another gear to try to regain his form. When S Jackson went to the Falcons all anyone said was SJ deserves to play in the play offs, well why doesnt Long? he has been nothing but a team player in his years with the Rams, never a problem in the locker room, never said a bad thing about the Rams, so please explain your hatred of him to me, he was cut, he had no choice to stay a Ram or i bet my bottom dollar he would be. one of the classiest players weve ever had and theres hatred for him, unreal.

Dude easy

Not all of us Ram fans have to adore this guys act -- just cause you and -X- have you "vajayjays" all dripping wet over the guy and think he's your "bro" is really disturbing

He's not your bro - he's not funny, and he's a fucking tool

Let's stop all these Chris Long adoration posts once and for all
