We are closer than last year. I say DET took our spot but even then I don't know if we beat SEA this weekend if we beat GB and DAL. All well.

Real simple, as has been mentioned many times, need stable, quality play at QB. Sure OL is a part of that, but really comes down to QB, especially playing in this division.

Packers were avg last year because Rogers got hurt and missed several games. This year they looked unbeatable for awhile, but now with Rodgers banged up nobody gives them a chance on Sunday.

Look at the 8 starting QBs last week. The least accomplished was Cam Newton, and he is still a very talented young QB.

The league is a league of haves and have nots and those without QBs are screwed and at best can hope to be a .500 team if they have a good defense and a favorable schedule.

Rams are close, good depth at several positions, solid D that is young and has a chance to be great. Now beef up the OL and pray Bradford can stay healthy while grooming a young QB or two over the next two years or trade for someone that has been over looked elsewhere.

That is what they have to do.

I think the record was deceiving, but also shows how one weak area can bring down a whole team. The Rams were weak at QB and atrociously, horribly weak at C and RG and opposing teams exploited the hell out of that. The weaknesses at those 3 positions basically brought down the whole teams, because we were pretty good on D at all levels (save for the Giants game), had a decent WR corps, and both talent and depth at the RB position. But the weakness at C and RG amplified the weakness at QB and had a domino effect across the whole team.

Not to mention the pretty strong special teams as a whole. Coverage, returns, trick plays, blocks, punting, kicking(for the most part).

thirteen28 said it best... our C and RG in my opinion are the biggest need for this team next year (aside from QB). Robinson showed some rookie mistakes but also showed he is very capable of playing in the league and at LT.

Excellent point, Mojo, definitely something I overlooked. Save for a couple of rare hiccups, our special teams were damn close to being perfect this year.

Thanks, and agreed. Robinson, while still raw and developing, was far more of an asset than a liability as a rookie.
