I am supposed to despise them or root for them?...do Giants fans hate the Jets?.... why?

I am from Florida so I guess I don't have a say...I really only hate the Whiners, Hags and that big fat #$+?....is it so wrong to pull for Chargers?...I will do as I am told...

Are they the Rams? That's all you have to ask yourself.

I always liked the Chargers - from way back in the day. Fouts, Jefferson, Joiner, Winslow, Chandler, Muncie, etc.
I don't care that they play in the same stadium. I'm only gonna end up going there once as a bucket-list checkoff.

I'll place a bet that Rams/Chargers reach a Super Bowl before the Giants/Jets manage it.

Never saw them as a rival tbh. But now that they're positioned with us in LA they sort of are, so I don't want to see them winning 10x games a year and outdrawing the Rams come 2020. So their loss tonight was kinda funny.

I think they're in need of a QB given Rivers' age too. If they don't address that, they're going to find out how painful it can be to fall into that nightmare, as we know well.

As a Ram fan, technically you should only root for the Rams with the exception of teams playing division opponents (and those damn Patriots!)

However, I do find myself rooting for individual players from different teams to succeed if I have some connection to them.

Being someone not from California the Chargers barely register on my radar in regards to anything. I don't think them being in the same city will change that much. They are still a team I never watch or pay attention to for the most part.

Well, there is some animosity for sure. The Jets moved in to "Giants Stadium" when the wait list for Giants season tickets was so long, you had to put your grandkids on it before they were born for them to have a shot. AKA "pre-PSL days". So basically a "Jets fan" was a Giant fan who couldnt wait for seasons tickets any more....
Never seemed problematic because the Jets always sucked. But for a minute, the Jets were decent and the fans claimed superiority, like the little brother who finally beat big bro. Now they share a stadium and there's a little rivalry, but the Jets just suck

I always kinda liked the Chargers because the helmet reminded me of the Rams

Don't really care about the Chargers, just loathe Dean Spanos. Hope he sells the team to sometime who's at least invested beyond the typical money grubbing. The Joey Bosa holdout last season because he refused to pay him initially under the rookie wage scale is shitty gesture to future draft prospects. Even Mark Davis pays his players in accordance to the NFL policies in place and his net worth is under 1 billion

I always root for the Chargers on the AFC side of things. I guess it goes back to them both having the white/blue/yellow color scheme back in the day. :)

I live in Carson, just blocks from the StubHub Center where the Chargers are currently plying their home games until Kronke's new stadium is built and then they will share it with the Rams. I also know people who work at Carson City Hall and talk occasionally with one of the City Council members (mornings at the local McDonalds)..

I have been told there have been talks with Chargers management exploring the possibility of the Chargers staying at the StubHub and making it their permanent home stadium. Part of those talks are ways of adding seating, or just renovating the StubHub to add 25,000 seats.

I have no idea how serious these talks are, or if it's just that, talk and exploring options. But it makes sense to me that Spanos might just want his own venue, Especially if the Chargers sell out every home game. Even though the SubHub only seats 27,000, the prices are triple and quadruple what seats cost at the Colesium.

I always kinda liked the chargers too. Not that I had a 2nd favorite team or anything like that... but those Dan Fouts teams scored like crazy and they were fun to watch. Had they been in the NFC I would have hated them though.

I always thought it was cool that they were the only team with 2 different helmets. Why in the fuck was that anyway?

I like Rivers too. But that's it.

I think it's very weird that they are being allowed to play in OUR stadium. Weird if I was a charger fan anyway. They're like the gardener who is allowed to live out in the shed as part of his pay. As a Ram Fan I think it's funny, and I hope it helps our owner.

That would be awesome!

I've always liked the Chargers too, from back in the 70s 80s I'd root for them on the AFC side especially vs the Raiders. Saw the holy roller game and was disgusted, was also disgusted when they shellacked the Rams in '79 but I still liked them. A legit question now whether to like them or not, don't like the newer unis and prefer the early 80s ones, never really cared for Rivers too. And the fans are starting to get cocky but if I stay off youtube then I save myself the time wasted of seeing some of their arrogant troll remarks.

I always have been and will be a die hard Rams fan until the day I die. That said, i have always had and AFC team that I root for. And that be the Raiders. I don't know why, but it worked out that way when I was a kid and it was the same way in MLB .. Doger fan ... but my AL team has always been the A's. When the Raiders moved to L.A ... It was always Rams first, then the Raiders. I've always hoped for a Rams Vs. Raiders SB ... which of course I will no doubt want the Rams to win.

the Chargers suck ... they are dead to me. Hate that they are in OUR building.

They are in the same boat as the majority of teams: Don't hate em, don't actively root for them either.

Pretty much where I am on this but I intend to catch a few more games.
