There was a huge crowd at the CMU pro day, as just about every team in the league was represented.
Tight end Tyler Conklin stood on all his combine numbers but looked good in pass-catching and blocking drills. Tight ends coaches from the
Philadelphia Eagles, New York Jets and
Detroit Lions were on hand and heavily involved in the workout.
The feedback given on Conklin was impressive, as he was characterized as a natural pass catcher, one of the better route-runners from the tight end class and a prospect who gets it between the ears.

Pass rusher Joe Ostman, who had a fine week of practice before the Shrine Game, also impressed.
He measured 6022 and 253 pounds, timed between 4.75 and 4.78 in the 40, had an impressive three-cone time of 7.06 and was in the low 4.3s for the short shuttle. Ostman completed 31 reps on the bench press, touched 36.5 inches on the vertical jump and reached 10-foot-2 in the broad jump. He looked good in all his drills.
Ostman met with
Detroit Lions linebackers coach Al Golden the night before the workout.
Cornerback Amari Coleman completed 19 reps on the bench, touched 39 inches in the vertical jump, reached 10-foot-5 in the broad jump and timed 4.51 in the 40, 6.90 in the three-cone and 4.20 in the short shuttle.
Over the course of the day, Coleman met with the
Baltimore Ravens, New York Jets and
Detroit Lions.

Interesting. Sounds like a Wade guy with motor. All solid numbers with production. Special teamer with chane to be a part time rusher or more.
