Questions and discussion raised by Vernon Davis' comments about the Seahawks...

Can you even build a dynasty anymore with free agency?
Are the Rams being overlooked by the media and SEA/SF?
Is Russell Wilson a "Dynasty" QB already going into his sophomore year?
Are Carrol and Harbaugh proven yet? Let alone dynasty head coaches?
You need (a) the QB, (b) a good scouting dept., (c) a creative coaching staff in order to win consistently.
Coaches and GMs get poached when your team succeeds, and your QB ends up taking up a bulk of your cap.
It's hard to win consistently win in the NFL *BECAUSE* of teams like the Rams who can upend you.
Wilson/Kaepernick have miniscule salaries because of where/when they were drafted.

Worthwhile listen.

I agree with the hosts... a dynasty is tough if then NFL.

I also think VD just gave the Rams more motivation. Douchebag.

IMO, there have only been 4 dynasty's.

Steelers (who none of these guys even mentions)
Niners (I hate them, but their record stands for itself)
Cheaters
Cowcrap (I actually enjoy watching this team lose more than the Niners)

As for the Pack, JMO, but not so much...Lastly, what makes this guy think the Fish ever came close to being a dynasty in any decade? Their perfect season was a joke, they're regular season schedule was amazingly easy.

That's how I see it too.

As for those who think the QB salary would prohibit another one look at the Rams. We're paying Sam lots of quatloos and we're only ha few holes away from a serious contender. Very difficult but possible with the right breaks and great/lucky drafting.

I think the more salient question is "can you REBUILD a dynasty? HMMM?

Well, FWIW, in the 60's the AFC had not come to parody versus the NFC at least in the first two years of the SB. Therefore, the competition was suspect and if 3 SB's is the standard, they missed there as well.....right?

The discussion would have to be post FA I think. There were many dynasties back in the old days. :bg:
