Well, The Rams Defense (Especially, The DL & LB’s!) will certainly get tested in their Season Opener against the Dallas Cowboys who have a pretty Big/Solid Offensive Line! I sure would be feeling a lot better if A’Shawn Robinson (Still don’t really understand what his status is for this season!) would be playing in this game!!! If the Rams DL can’t somewhat control the Cowboys OL then this could end up being a LONG GAME for the Rams! But, Even without Robinson, The Rams DL is still pretty good with Aaron Donald, Michael Brockers and Sebastian Joseph-Day! Don’t really know what to expect from the Rams LB crew but I guess there will be a lot of questions answered next Sunday!!!

Can the Cowboys run on the Rams defense? I'd like to see them try :) I'd really like to see them slow down our WR/TE group too.

They controlled AD last year. I bet that doesn't sit well with him....
Cam Ervin at RT. Thought I read Smith is hurting at LT. Will have to see how their interior performs. Brockers, Floyd, and Ebukam should control the line of scrimmage.

.

i don't think i've seen the rams play worse than their weak effort against the cowboys last season. horrible defense all round. coming after the same awful defense against the ravens.

a team that had no answers at all on either side of the ball in both games. they can't let themselves be bullied into submission. these two games showed mcvay and snead that the rams were going nowhere without the ability to stop the run, either by rb or qb.

losing robinson is a body blow to a defense that changed it's identity from rushing the passer to stopping the run. at least floyd and ebukam are there to contain. half the problem last season.

Additionally, the Rams placed A’Shawn Robinson on the reserve/non-football injury list. He won’t count toward the 53-man roster, but he’ll also have to miss the first six weeks of the regular season.

After those six weeks, Robinson can begin practicing. Once he practices, the Rams have three weeks to decide whether to keep him on the NFI list or add him to the active roster. Robinson was diagnosed with a cardiovascular condition during training camp when players arrived.

Thanks. I somehow missed that.

I hope the Rams can based on the injuries to Dallas' offensive line. I also want the Rams to focus on running the ball down Dallas throat. Wear down that defense with Brown and then subbing in Akers. If the Rams can establish the run they won't be so predictable like last year when they threw the ball 80% of the time.

Who knows. But that Fangio tree does tend to prioritize shutting down the run. And we did improve a bit up front in terms of size particularly on the strong side edge with Floyd.

I keep going back to AD's comments and I think they're going to have him toeing the line wrt his lateral movement on run downs. And that's another good change IMO. When a guy like AD is playing with discipline everyone else up front will follow.

My expectations for our run game is to see some improvement. And believe it or not we were pretty solid vs the run in 2019. So a top ten type finish is possible and it would be nice to see that start by stuffing the fucking eewok in game one. :fistbump::cool:

As much as I would like to see Robinson begin the season starting on the Rams Defensive Line maybe as a “Silver Lining” it will allow him to be FRESH & HEALTHY when the Rams begin their PLAYOFF RUN!!!
