Cam Akers Update?

Can anyone give an update on RB Cam Akers?

I thought I read that he was definitely out for the season but then I read some posts that he might be back for the playoffs.

As much as I like Darrell Henderson (And, Even with a Healthy Cam Akers I think Henderson plays a very important role for the Rams!) I do think Akers is the better RB and is a difference maker for the Rams Offense and would be a HUGE boost to the Rams IF he really is a possibility for the playoffs!!!

I also think he has a chance to take some QB snaps if The Rams make the Playoffs. Lol - I actually think he has a better chance of my prediction than yours of not making the playoffs by far.

It sure sounds like he is trying to make it back for the playoffs. I'm just going to have to trust the Rams medical staff will only allow him out there if he is truly 100%. The fact that he is even close to being ready at that point is a huge positive when it comes to his availability for offseason workouts and training camp.

You all know what the narrative will be.

If Cam is activated for the playoffs, he better stay healthy and look the part or the Rams training staff and doctors will get crushed if he reinjures his Achilles or any other body part.

Cam looks like he's on a mission to return in 9 or 10 weeks. He will be a hero if he returns, performs well and stays healthy throughout the playoffs.

Talk about a long shot to gamble on.

I have been hoping his youth and natural toughness would allow him to beat the odds. If the guy makes it back in time for a playoff run to boost the offense, along with Von Miller's boost to our defense, the Horns will be really formidable come playoff time.
