Over the years I have lost count of how many times Aaron has come through in crucial moments of a game even when he was on a 7-9 team. Perhaps some may wish to post their favorites here. But I’m not looking at the past now....

No Ram in my 55 years has more consistently been the difference between winning and losing than AD. This transitional season hangs in the balance tonight. Double and triple teams be damned. I’d be shocked if we didn’t see a Superhero performance from him tonight.

I normally avoid making and reading Rah Rah posts. I prefer insightful analysis and detailed reasoning. But tonight cannot become a matter of dubious officiating, bad breaks, missed kicks, or questionable playcalling. Tonight requires the best player in the NFL to leave no doubt. As much as everyone correctly calls this the ultimate team game, it’s transcendence time for the one Ram who can carry the night.

F rational thought. Tonight I’m just a fan.

AD is the type of player teams are gonna scheme for. The Ravens doubled and tripled him the entire game! To hear some in the media saying "Aaron Donald only had only 1 assist"...is really nonsense based on what he was facing the entire game. Obviously when a great player like AD is facing that type of blocking the call is on others to step up and be the difference. Brockers, Joseph-Day, Fowler, Ebukam, Matthews... et al. AD has already made an impact with the attention he'll draw before the game starts. If AD draws two blockers...THERE'S A WEAKNESS SOMEWHERE AND THE DEFENSE HAS TO EXPOSE IT!!!

Wade has to have a scheme to move AD around in the defense to make the opposing offense have to adjust. I want to see what his scheme for the defense is tonight...BUT...I think the key to this game will be the Rams LBs...they must be a real physical presence out there tonight. The LB depth is such that Wade can keep them fresh throughout the game.

It's been a "down" year for Donald. Which is ridiculous to say given his production, and that he is doing it while consistently drawing double (and not infrequently triple) teams. But that is just how high his level of play has been. Hopefully, he can make more of the big plays at the key times down the stretch that we have been spoiled with over the years. If not, our other defenders need to take full advance of Donald being doubled teamed and tripled teamed, and step up and produce. We need everyone firing on all cylinders to make the playoffs. We need to win out. Playing very good football will not get it done. The Rams have unfortunately have put themselves in a big hole, such that perfect or almost perfect football is needed for the remainder of the season.

It seems to me that the supporting cast on the DL have to do better than the first game against Seattle. Fowler and Matthews consistently lost gap integrity looking for a home run sack. I think I counted at least 4 whiffs from Fowler alone in that game that Russell turned into big gainers where he vacated. So let’s strap it on and keep the little fellow hemmed in tonight. Go Rams!

Doesn't AD have ten sacks with 5 games to go? Not sure how that's a down year.

AD always shows up it's the guys around him that need to rise to the occasion

I think AD has sacked RW more times than most teams have.
