..there is a bright side.

First, they are handed the Rams SB by the refs. Rules are changed to "prevent" this from happening in the future.

Then, they are handed one by the Seahawks OC Bevell. Run it in with Beast Mode, moron. Everyone but you knew that.

Then, yesterday. Everyone but Shanahan knew the Falcons won that game (even with poor play calling prior) when Julio makes that monster catch. 1st down at the 22. Game over, right? Nope, another Brady gift...

BRIGHT SIDE:
Every 9er game I watch while Shanahan is on the sideline, I get to think of how he will be remembered as orchestrating the biggest collapse in Super Bowl (and NFL) history.

Hate to see Pats win. But I love when the 9ers lose.

Another thought that is helping me cope...

At least Atlanta (our old Divisional foe) still has no Super Bowl win. I'd be happy if they never win one.

Yeah, the rams SB still sickens me. The last drive has 2 of the worst officiating mistakes I've ever witnessed. Fiirst, brady throws the most blatant grounding you'll ever see. No one within 15 yards. Then, a receiver, maybe troy brown, CLEARLY,touches his knee at least 12 inches inbounds, way before he drops his hand and ball out of bounds. Yet the refs stop the clock.

Didn't shanny watch the seahawks commit the worst play call in SB history just a few years ago? Holy shit, man, just run the ball 3 fucking times and kick the 35 to 40 yard fg.

Even more sure stan made the right choice now. I mean it's one thing to blow it like that, but cmon, you just saw another team do the exact same thing. What did the pats do? They ran in the 2 pt conversion and ran in the td from a few yards out. Duh.

So out of 5 wins, one was from cheating and horrific officiating while 2 were more because the other team lost the game by committing the worst playcaller in SB history.

I'm not coping.
Checking out for a bit I think.
I am done with baseball for the most part. Getting there with football.
I called the Pats OT win when they made it 28-9.
Just too predictable.

Meh I wouldn't just blame the Rams SB loss on just the officiating which was shit on both teams. The problem is when you combine that with playing against your foe and your own mistakes your not going to win.

Martz has said, same as Warner. If he just did what he did at the Eagles game and made amor bubbles come out of Marshall again we would have won.

And be careful what you wish for, Shanny is no bum. Yeah he might of lost the SB but that doesn't mean he can't hang 40 on a decade plus losing franchise. Shit the Whiners wiped us with their last coach. Interesting to see how the McVay battles turn out in the next few years.

They've been handed more than that.

Patriots top draft picks since the chowder wizard has been in charge:

Cyrus Jones CB
Malcom Brown DT
Dominique Easley DT
Jamie Collins OLB
Chandler Jones DE
Nate Solder OT
Devin McCourty CB
Pat Chung DB
Jerod Mayo ILB
Brandon Meriweather DB
Laurence Maroney RB
Logan Mankins OG
Vince Wilfork DT
Ty Warren DE
Daniel Graham TE
Richard Seymour DT
Adrian Klemm OT

-No WR's
-Only two offensive skill position picks(TE Graham and RB Maroney)
-Mostly defensive picks(DLine and secondary)
-Heavy on both DLine and OLine

Having Brady at QB obviously is a factor but i doubt the Colts w/Manning, Steelers w/Roethlesberger, Saints w/Brees and Packers w/Rodgers drafts resemble the Patriots drafts just because they had "their HOF guy" at QB.
