Defensive tackle Michael Brockers and cornerback Janoris Jenkins have been named to the NFL’s All-Rookie team for 2012 as determined by Pro Football Weekly and the Pro Football Writers of America.

After missing the first three games of this season with a high-ankle sprain, Brockers finished with 63 tackles, four sacks, 17 QB pressures/hits, and one forced fumble. Jenkins scored four defensive touchdowns — three on interception returns and one on a return of a recovered fumbled. He finished with 83 tackles, four INTs, and 15 pass breakups.

Until now, the Rams hadn’t had a defensive player named to the All-Rookie team since linebacker Pisa Tinoisamoa in 2003.

The entire list of award winners by Pro Football Weekly and the Pro Football Writers will be released Monday on www.Profootballweekly.com.

Brockers and Jenkins; kudos Snead!

Trumaine J, Zuerlein, Hekker, and Richardson... All solid contributors.

Pead and Quick have their best days ahead.

Rok is well liked by staff.

One hell of a draft, an A, at the year one yardstick.

Easily our best draft in probably 10 years, if not more. If we can get more like this, wow.

I totally agree, in fact it might be their best one since they moved to St. Louis. We need a couple more to capitalize on the draft picks.
