Much as I hate Brady this is life is it not. You make your choices and at some points people in your life move on.

I do think it's comical that he opted for football at the cost of losing his marriage when he's running on fumes. But for that to happen means shit probably wasn't right to begin with. That probably just brought things to a head.

Now if I'm him I'd identify some younger bitches she really hates and then make sure I pick up my kids with that hot ass in tow. But I'm a dick like that. :laugh4:

I hate to see the family break up. I thought they had a good relationship. Maybe TB finally gives up playing and they settle the problems. I think he really wants to keep playing.

Strangely, this doesn’t gratify me as much as I expected it would. I have prayed and wished for all sorts of misfortune to befall Brady over the years due to his cheating and poor sportsmanship amongst other major character flaws, but the breakdown of family, even his, is quite sad. I mean, let’s face it, it’s not the children’s fault their father is a major douche.

I’d much rather just see him snapped and broken on the field of play. That would bring me far more satisfaction.

Huh...

I always thought that a marriage between an exceedingly narcissistic man who broke up with his pregnant girlfriend to start dating his supermodel wife who has just as big an ego as he does would last forever.

Guess there are no fairy tales anymore. :bigcry:

Brady putting himself above his family for so many years and when it came down to the last chance he chose football.

If the guy didn’t have kids then so what. His wife will have no problem finding a new mate. But they have kids da together and he went well beyond what anyone would expect an NFL QB to go in years played. At some point he should be putting his family first.

Brady is a selfish loser in my book.

I did not know this.
That makes him (if possible) an even larger douchebag, and I've always felt he already sported an XXXXXXL douchebag.
Fuck him.

If Brady was young, I'd say his wife was wrong for trying prevent him from chasing his dream. And make more money to provide for his family. But he's 45. He's accomplished everything there is to accomplish. He's financially set for life. What does he have left to prove? I can't blame her for wanting him to quit. He promised her he would when he retired. And he broke that promise.

I don’t believe the split is over playing football. A sound marriage would not split over “1 more season”.

Something else is not working in their marriage besides this.

I wonder if those two weeks were to a marriage counseling vacation spot like in that movie with Vince Vaughn Couples Retreat

That's a whole lot of judgment there Elm. I hate Brady for reason of two Super Bowls but their relationship is an unknown for the most part. Maybe he came home early from camp and caught her with a Victoria's Secret massage therapist taking care of her needs. Who knows.

.

I think he was sick of pretending, he wants the real thing.

It's one thing to be married to a woman who looks like a man. He wants to actually be with a man.

Brady is in his 45 years old. Let that sink in. 45!

He has made countless millions of dollars and his (soon to be ex) wife is even richer than he is.

He is the undisputed GOAT, and has won every award and secured every accolade, both team and individual.

From the outside looking in, to keep playing in light of the above, sure looks selfish on Brady's part. Let football go. Go spend time with your family, for crying out loud, that has come second for so many years. We can only speculate why his marriage failed but it sure seems like un-retiring played a huge part in it.

It is arguably even more selfish of Brady to keep playing when you consider the very real risk of life altering injury that football possesses, and how that could impact his family life going forward. Imagine becoming a care-giver in your 40s because you husband played well past any reasonable age and sustained severe brain damage, becoming a quadriplegic?

Football is obviously Tom's passion and calling in life. He might argue it is selfish of his family to want him to quit. But when you consider there are plenty of non-player ways to stay involved the game, that argument loses steam, IMO. Any broadcast boot would take him in a heartbeat.
