INGLEWOOD, Calif. — A helmet couldn’t protect Rams wide receiver Puka Nacua’s face from a big hit.
Nacua caught a nine-yard pass over the middle from Matthew Stafford on third-and-7 late in the first quarter. After he hauled in the football, he took a big hit from Texans linebackers Henry To'oTo'o and Azeez Al-Shaair.
Referees quickly penalized To'oTo'o for unnecessary roughness on the play. But the bigger concern was Nacua as he got up in visible discomfort and his face bloodied from the collision.

Nacua was eventually escorted off the field by the team’s medical staff. He later returned to the game.
The Rams announced early in the second quarter that Nacua was being evaluated for a concussion.
