I think our best Rams team ever, was our 2001 Rams. I mean, I very rarely broke a sweat watching our games that season as we brought in Lovie Smith to shore up our pathetic 2000 defense. We lost 2 games that regular season, one game by 3 points, one game by 7 points. We won 11 games by 7 POINTS OR MORE! 42-10, 35-0, 34-14, 48-14, 35-6, 42-17, 31-13, 45-17? COME ON!?!

If it weren't for the NFL wanting to further the Patriots in support of America post 9/11, we win that game by 24 points. I really was hoping that the rematch from 2018 Super Bowl would have been the revenge game, but we just didn't have the horses, especially after Kupp went down.

Although the Bengals will be a tougher matchup than that 2001 season SB against the Patriots, I'm hoping that we get the blowout we deserved.

Sorry Bengals.

GO RAMS!

Yeah this year's team is strange. Their upside is crazy high but they tend to do just enough to win. It's weird to say at this point that they haven't played their best game yet, when we saw previous teams do that enroute to this game, but it's the truth I think.

The '99 team shit on most teams we played during the regular season then hit two great defenses in the playoffs in Tampa and Tennessee. Fact that they won it means I think they were our best modern era team too. The 2001 team was probably more loaded and it's Martz's refusal to produce any run threat and his ego that led us to the loss IMO. Players of course share in that but that team should have won that game. Which sucks because "should have" is definitely loser speak.

I don't want to take the Bengals lightly, beating the Chiefs in KC was a hell of an achievement. They are certainly capable of winning it. But I haven't been this confident going into a Super Bowl since 2001. Which scares me. :laugh4:

Don't forget about the filming of our practices. That always helps when you're the underdog.
That's definitely one Lombardi that should have been taken from the cheaters

Oh I didn't forget. There are LOTS of details behind the NFL nudging things for 9/11, including allowing the taping and disposing of the evidence after it came to light. I chose to leave them out because a) we've discussed this ad nauseum and b) i don't want to get too worked up with negative energy on this magical Super Bowl victory week!

GO RAMS!
