Film: #Rams had a few gap breakdowns later in the game. Run D was fairly steady otherwise.
Film: #Vikings more gap scheme runs as game progressed, often with pullers to the perimeter.
#Vikings Film: Norv Turner doesn’t care about TE’s having to block DE’s in his scheme. Sometimes there’s a price to pay for that.
Film: #Vikings did not move the ball effectively with Shaun Hill in at QB.
Film: #Rams CB’s Jenkins, Joyner and Johnson are all aggressive at point of ball’s arrival.
Film: surprised #Vikings don’t put Peterson on perimeter more. He’s effective there. Perhaps they don’t believe OL is athletic enough.
#Vikings Film: when Peterson is 8 yds deep in backfield, it’s almost always a run.
#Rams Film: Barron is much better as an attacker than a reactor. True in run and pass game.
Film: #Vikings have a below avg interior OL. Fusco is mediocre, Berger and Harris are backups. Shows more in the run game than pass game.
Film: #Rams have a much weaker pass rush without Quinn. Less diverse, too.
#Rams Film: Laurinaitis stood out in run D. Quick to sniff out plays, Vikings interior OL could not get to him multiple times.
#Rams #Vikings Film: Also on Johnson INT Bridgewater underthrew it and too far inside
#Rams #Vikings Film: Trumaine Johnson INT on deep ball out of Cover 0 blitz. Beat Diggs at point of ball’s arrival.
#Rams Film: Aaron Donald did not register first half stats but he was noisy.
#Vikings Film: Bridgewater missed Wallace twice throwing on move. Both inaccurate balls had an impact.
#Rams Film: Mark Barron struggled a bit vs. run when cast as a stacked LB. Perhaps to be expected given lack of experience there.
Film: #Vikings featured straight downhill runs, often out of inside zone.
#Vikings Fillm: Peterson great blend of body control and explosiveness. Allows for subtly in his initial movement, which can manipulate LBs.
Film: #Rams continued to deploy a variety of pressure concepts. Some of them were somewhat slow developing.
Film: #Vikings a lot of runs out of overloaded TE surfaces, including Peterson 6-yd TD sweep.
Film: PA bootleg to Bridgewater’s right clearly part of #Vikings gameplan.
