He's quoted as saying that the hit by Welker on Talib was "one of the worst plays he's ever seen" and that he'll wait and let the NFL dole out the punishment.

Huh? Welker was looking toward the QB and I don't even think he knew he was going to strike Talib. Obviously NOT intentional.

Any complaining by this douchebag cheater is too much, but on that play it's ludicrous...
 
Hmm? It looked intentional to me. As did the cheatriots falling back on the the hold the receivers strategy because the refs would be reluctant to flag them for that.

I'm not sure what's dirty about it or why the NFL would need to take actions? I don't even know how Talib was the one that got hurt, either. Welker is REALLY small.

Just looks like a "pick" that was just a hair too early. Arizona WR's do this all the time and never get flagged or even have it talked about.

Every team runs pick plays....some better than others. Most of Denvers short passing game is based on picks....amazed this wasnt flagged as PI on the O for the pick.

That penalty hardly ever gets called, though. It probably was a penalty for that but I'm not shocked at all that the refs didn't call it.

It isent called that often for how often it happens, your right. I think maybe they wrote it off because it was SO obvious it "had" to be accidental. But to have a WR take out a cover guy as the throw and catch is in progress and not have it called....D players can barely tackle anymore, WR constantly push off and if this sort of pick play becomes acceptable....well, might as well just run 7 on 7 drills and call them games.
 
BillaCHEAT is the biggest low rent turd (coach) in the history of the NFL IMHO.
That buries the needle on the hypocrisy meter a little too deeply for me.
It was a RUB route!!! It is supposed to get the defender to move off the primary WR.
NE has that play as does every other NFL team.

BillaCHEAT if you and your team are too pussified to take it, I suggest you take up a sport more suited to your toughness....like bad mitten.

It was intentional and it was a pick. But it was not a cheap shot. The refs counted it as a block because it happened almost simultaneously to the receiver catching the ball. Billicheat needs to get over it. They are still 0 for in Super Bowl wins since they were caught cheating. LOVE IT!

What's funny is there is bad blood between those two from the past off seasons, Belicek expects total loyalty but doesn't give it Welker got tired of it they parted ways and Welker got the long end of the stick,funny beyond belief

if it was intended to take out Talib, then why send 180lb Welker who just came back from a concussion last week to hit 210 lb Talib... send a bigger TE to do the job

Its the "Patriot way"....cheat every chance you get, then, if you dont win cry about it. Video gate, running the score up on everyone ect., after the Giants beat NE in the Superbowl Billicheat wouldnt even shake hands....its pathetic really.
