Man there saying there D is going to dismantle goff because they know rams wont run the ball.So freaking sad to know the nfl thinks the coach is just pass happy. We have always been a power running team even in the losing years and never gave up on it.Mcvay needs to not give up on it even if they stop it on some drives.Bring out 2 te sets and keep jamming down there throats.Mack n company scares me but we can beat this bears D.

Well, we should have done that against the Steelers too and we just kept trying to get Goff killed. I expect the same this week unfortunately. The Bears defense is built to neutralize what we normally do. So unless we do something different this is going to be ugly with our 3rd string oline playing. Luckily their offense is playing just as bad so we can still beat them. Hopefully we don’t get embarrassed on SNF.

Rams can't run the ball with this OL. Weak and no push to open holes. They have some new guys going to get a chance due to injuries. Hopefully they can run block better. McVay and Kromer know it and that's why the offense is pass happy.

I see this game going exactly like Sunday did. A low scoring game where we lose the time of possession battle and our D gets gassed. It's going to be that way against all the good defensive fronts. Games where the other team has a good defense AND offense forget about it.

That's the sad truth so im hoping that somehow the OL magically starts to gel and maybe we stumble into the playoffs stronger than we've been all season. If nothing else maybe we win enough of the games coming up so that we have some dignity left going into the off season.

If McVay doesn’t change personnel and get creative, I don’t see us winning again this year unfortunately.

Not sure that Bears will be dismantling us this weekend. It will be an even matchup. I have faith in Kromer and hope our offensive line will hold together just enough to get the W

We are 5-4. If we were in the NFC East we’s be in first place.

They have got to get the RBs involved in the passing game. Goff is not gonna have time for long developing plays. But McVay knows that right?

I doubt the Bears score more than 13 points or gain more than 250 yards against us. Possibly enough for them to win.

But McVay knows that right?

Need Henderson here, Gurley keeps dropping passes for some unknown reason, let's give Henderson more touches and call screen passes and continue hitting the tight ends, however, can this offensive line actually hold their blocks or will they just whiff?

Not a happy group over but not lacking a sense of humor, either

From Botfly on CCS.......

In Chicago if a CB plays like crap, he sucks.

If a LB plays like crap, he sucks.

If a DL plays like crap, he sucks.

If a OL plays like crap, he sucks.

If a WR plays like crap, he sucks.

If a TE plays like crap, he sucks.

If a marquee, top 5 in the NFL pass rusher plays like crap, people start to doubt him.

If a QB plays like crap, he is actually good. Its just that your coach sucks, playcalling sucks, scheme sucks, the team is failing to use him right, the team is failing to do what he is good at, they should do more roll outs, they should do more shotgun, they should play more under center, they should run more, they should force him throw deep more, they should run more slants, the plays are too gimmicky, they should simplify playcalling, the plays have stupid names, the coach has a stupid motto - any nebulous, abstract concept you heard before from a talking head is to blame for robbing the QB of his potential. But he definitely doesn't suck.

Not buying this assessment at all, as its almost always easier to run block than pass block You don't have to get 5-6 YPC to have a successful run game. You can get 3-4 YPC and chew up the clock all day long with successful play management.

Rams never even tried to get the run going against TB, who has one of the best rush defenses in the league. Atlanta stacked the box, but McVay actually continued to run it. Otherwise, we've been able to run the ball successfully in stretches.

Fact is, McVay's play calling is the biggest culprit. Lack of creativity in the run game is next. Apparently, the league has made the jet sweep illegal? Should be running that 50% of the time or more. WR/TE screens should be part of the run game also, I'd run 8-10 of these against the Bears.

McVay needs to run the 40 times against the Bears, even if we are only getting 2-3 YPC. 3rd and 4 or 5 gives you a chance every single time. If we use the same strategy we used against the Steelers, we'll score 0 points offensively.

McVay needs to adapt period.

Bears D isn't firing on all cylinders due to injuries. Our D is playing pretty well. If we play a conservative game (minimize turnover risks) maybe we end up in a field position game decided by special teams. I like hekker and zeurlein over any other kicking tandem in the league.

holy crap....we got us a fan melt down. JEEBUS! We are are playing the Bears led by Trubisky! It may be a couple of mediocre teams playing each other right now, but lets go punch them in the mouth for pride's sake!

OK, but who are our run blockers ? Havenstein is out and Evans is supposedly starting for him. They've moved Edwards to RG, and he's better in pass pro. Blythe is now our Center and he isn't much, Corbett is completely untested at LG, ... and Whitworth can't play all 5 positions. For some funny reason, our only known remaining run blocker is still stuck on the practice squad. Oh yeah, there's always Demby, he'll save us.
