For the second week in a row, an opponent has defeated the Rams and then called them out after the game. Last week it was Vikings’ coach Mike Zimmer who implied that the Rams had a bounty on his quarterback Teddy Bridgewater and said this about the Rams’ DC, Gregg Williams: “There is a history there with their defensive coordinator and I’ll leave it at that.”
This week the Rams got blown out at home by the Bears and then heard from tight end Martellus Bennett afterwards. Apparently unhappy with some of the tactics of the Rams (#97 Eugene Sims in particular), Bennett went in the team:

It’s a bit ironic that Martellus would use the phrase ‘little brother’ as an insult as he’s best known for being Michael Bennett’s ‘little brother’. You can connect the dots here as Martellus props up the same Seattle team that also happens to be the employer of his brother.
You have to wonder if there was some beef between Bennett and Eugene Sims (#97) going into this game. Bennett attended Texas A&M at the same time Sims attended West Texas A&M so they may have crossed each other at some point before this game.
With Bennett’s comments, Zimmer’s comments, and Reggie Bushsuing the city for his injury; it’s been a bad month for St. Louis and the Rams. It will likely only get worse once the season ends as there’s an elephant in the room named “Los Angeles”.
