My biggest concern would be, who calls the line protections? If it was Barnes, is Rhaney up to speed on this or is it 1 more thing to add to Goffs plate? I would feel better knowing that Rhaney can handle it and Goff can concentrate on coverages and who to throw to.
If anyone on the offensive line needs replacing it's Tim Barnes at center
Greg Robinson will be calling the line protections.
Raney has been with us a few years now. I'm sure he knows the protections. It's his chop blocking I'm worried aboutMy biggest concern would be, who calls the line protections? Like @Young Ram said, I don't expect the exchange to be a problem because Rhaney and Goff have been working together in practice. where the problem with the New Center comes is with Rhaney calling the Offensive line play, reading the "D"!!Great, last thing we need is center to QB exchange problems.
Eric Kush? Oh wait.... He's starting for another team.
Is he starting? I hasn't seen - good for him. It was hard not to like that guy.
Only because of injuries to their oline. He couldn't make this team he would not have been better than Rhaney.I liked him a lot too. He was claimed off waivers by Chicago and he has been playing Guard for them.
