With the change in HC for the Panthers could / should Snead try to obtain Austin Corbett to play RG? He's a known quantity, a solid player. His cap hit is $3.1M which fits in their budget. He would be an instant quick fix at RG allowing them to shift Jackson to LG.

Considering their options I'd say do it. If they extend him next year then Shelton becomes their new LG and OL problem solved. Jackson returns to swing OT next year for one year. Then as an experienced player takes over at RT.

The return of Corbett and the play of Jackson along with the return of Allen after the bye would stop the OL bleeding IMO. This would allow the offense to get back on track.

Corbett is kicking ass for Panthers.

Why would they trade him?

How much do the Rams offer?

Doubt we get Corbett. We fucked up there in not resigning him. Kinda crazy to think that we didn't prioritize keeping an offensive line starter that helped keep Stafford upright and helped us win a Superbowl. Everyone and their mama knows how important line continuity is but we got to deal with it now without him on our squad.

Would be a dead cap hit to Carolina of close to 10 mill. Why on earth would they take that huge of a cap hit to move a player who is crucial to their run game success, is playing well, and doesnt cost much???

This reminds me of a thread that someone started saying we should trade for Hassan Reddick. Teams dont sign UFA, give them big signing bonus, and then trade them in year 1.

I suppose this is where it came from. This is one of the stupidest articles ever. Wtf would Anderson do for this team? Can he be 50 yds down field in a half a second then yes makes sense. Only person I'd care about is Burns obviously. As far as McCaffrey as much as I think it just would end hus career too lol I'd only do it if we had the other birds in hand and doubt the money is there if we got the other birds. I'd call Cleveland for a back and not Hunt or Chubb.

Letting go of Corb is looking like a really bad move for the Rams. To add insult to injury he's been playing like a stud this season and he came cheap. Dumb move by our FO.

TST should never be cited as a credible source. It's a fan blog and a crazy one at that.

For a 6'th/7'th rounder I wouldn't mind taking a shot at Gross-Matos, and seeing whether the Donald 'effect' can help get him going.
Won't make the defense step up to make up for the offensive woes that's what taks here for and he is better. You have a shot at winning in spite of the offensive unit if you can make a serious upgrade at edge. Having 5 possible ad effects on the roster won't do that in my opinion.

Obviously my post has nothing to do with our offensive woes, but for additional Edge help he could be a cheap alternative. My posts relating to a quick fix for our offense can be seen elsewhere, sorry you missed them.

I don't know what your talking about I have similar posts but what I'm saying is an elite defense can help the offense as the defense is at the bottom in pressures sacks and I believe turnovers more pressure by a reputable edge can help with all of that and create more possessions for a lame Offense and if you do make that Corbett type trade like for one of the dudes on Atlanta someone posted and let the rest heal then you have a shot. That's all I wasn't being a douche or anything.

I'm sure Snead is sniffing around for affordable potential trades, just as he's raided a few teams of practice squad players, but the Rams still haven't made use of Aboushi at OG, or even Chandler Brewer for that matter. Aboushi is a veteran RG, so unless he's completely failed to impress during practice, I suspect we may see him enter the picture before Snead shells much out for more interior help. jmo.

Mcsnead made this exact same mistake after 2018 sb run. You would think they would learn...guess not.
