Do you expect an "off the grid" selection coming in the next few rounds?

Sort of like what they did with Quick.

A raw talented guy from a small school they believe can develop.

Perhaps a CB they want to try at Safety? Or something untraditional like that.

I guess... I'm asking; does any of the draft guys have a wild card like that on your watch list?

4 names:

Sanders Commings, CB, Georgia. Who they might consider converting to a safety. 4th - 5th round.

Tharold Simon, CB, LSU.Junior Good size (6' 2"), fairly inexperienced, but comes out of CB U, and he led the team in INT's last year. Good ball skills, possible safety conversion? 4th - 5th round.

Aaron Dobson, WR, Marshall. A long, lanky, burner who can take the top off of a defense. 3rd - 4th round.

Earl Watford, OG, James Madison. A small school prospect who showed well at the post college All-Star games. 4th - 5th round.

I don't think any surprise can happen in the 3rd round.

Maybe if they trade up again.

Don't be so pessimistic. Any number of wonderful surprises can happen.

Commings or Watford wouldn't surprise me too much.

I'll be surprised if we find a way to get back into the 2nd rd.
It's going to be tough watching so many quality players fly off the board until we're on the clock in the 3rd.
It's a deep safety draft, but not if you're left out of the 2nd rd. Hopefully the QB feeding frenzy helps us out there.

I absolutely love what the Rams did on day one,but i'm a little disappointed that we weren't able to parlay a 2nd rd pick from #22.

Essentially we did with the #30 pick, but I know what you mean.

We got a 1st and a 3rd instead of 2 2nds.

Ehhh hope so. 3rd round is kinda...ehh.

Maybe Barrett Jones. That would be nice.

I am not averse to us taking Connor Vernon in the 5-6th round range, Hugh Thornton in the 4th I feel could start at OG but thats because I'm an Illinois fan so I saw him a lot.
