So as some of you know from previous years, I love April Fools day and pranking people.

But what is a guy to do when his favorite day of the year falls on Easter Sunday?

Well I just ordered 450 plastic Easter eggs to dump in the wife's car thru her sunroof. I think I might buy some jewelry for her and hide it in 1 of the eggs so she has to open them.

Or maybe just tell her she has a present in one of them, and watch her open them all

This seems much kinder than usual for you... but I like it. Maybe just put one of those candy diamond rings in one instead of the real thing and give her a real piece of jewelry after the disappointment???

Please get some pics!

Fill the eggs with confetti or sparkle crap. She opens an egg and the crap goes everywhere except the one magic egg.
Of course, you may just be creating a mess you have to clean up.

Yes I am

But she did give up chocolate for Lent, so I will probably put some Hershey Kisses in a few eggs also..avoiding the shaking until she finds something routine

That's great Rhody. My sister is an April Fool so we have played many a practical joke on her over the years. This Easter is of course on her birthday and none of us remember that happening before. We are going to have a big family get together as always on Easter but my nephew (her youngest) and I are planning on putting out a pretty big spread at my family's ranch. Now I'm not sure what prank I will play but I was thinking of putting a fake pearl in one of her oysters for starters. She is hard to fool these days because I have been such a little brother over the years. But that might just be subtle enough to get her.

Holy crap! I just looked it up. The last time Easter fell on April Fools day was the day she was born. I gotta get her in some way.

My father was born on Valentines Day and we played with that a little bit.

After I moved out of the house of course I didn't want to sleep in the garage in Cleveland winters.

I'd get him a normal gift, but usually got the super cheesy drugstore candybox shaped like a heart that had shitty chocolate. I can't recall the name of the company, but it's garbage. I stopped as he aged, and would give anything to have one more chance to do it.

This Easter I'm playing the good guy.

The girlie girl was forced to move due to serious plumbing issues in a house she just moved into about 8 months ago. Major pain in the ass.

So she is unpacking still, the move was less than two weeks ago and with two young kids 14 and 8, and a job it's a slow process. Her parents are in town this weekend to help and see the kids.

I took advantage of a deal at Fresh Market to buy a complete dinner, packaged up put in a box and ready to go.

60 bucks for:
8-10 lb spiral sliced ham
2 lbs mac and cheese
2 lbs lemon orzo pasta salad
2 lbs Greek artichoke salad
10 ounces of sliced pineapple
12 dinner rolls
1 tray of fudge brownies

I thought it was a hell of a deal, hopefully it'll be tasty. It's certainly plenty of food for 60 bucks.

The important thing is.........Les doesn't have to cook!!! :ROFLMAO:

Every Easter we have all the family at my sisters house. Usually around 12-15 kids, my grandkids, grandnieces and nephews and they all look forward to an Easter egg hunt. Also being April Fools, this time around when we hide the eggs, we're not really going to hide any eggs. Of course after a while and they can't find any we'll let em know they've been "April Fooled" and do it over and really hide eggs. (It was tough getting all the Mom's to go along, but they finally did)

That's cool, Bubba. I did something similar with our guys when they were little. A progressive hunt. I put written clues inside each egg as to the whereabouts of the next egg. Sometimes the eggs would also have a bit of candy, or cash to make it more fun for them. We now do the same for my daughter and grandkids.

well I was short 150 eggs due to a back order and 300 eggs just didn't seem to do the trick for me at least, but it went off great except for the fact that I couldn't get a good reaction picture. She probably had to open about 50-60 eggs before she found the earrings I bought, and the very next egg she opened had the necklace, but she laughed for about 3 hours afterwards.

We went out to brunch and I was leaving plastic eggs on cars in the parking lot, and left our waitress her tip in another one. Had to hit stop and shop for, get this, eggs, to make pizza gain and rice pie, so I was taking eggs out of the cartons and putting plastic ones inside.

Apparently there was a common joke on Sunday played on the little ones...

Parents everywhere were getting their kids amped up for egg hunts.... and then turning them loose to go find the hidden eggs. Then, after at least 10 minutes of intense searching... the parents would scream April Fools and tell the frustrated kids that they needed to go inside so that they could actually hide some eggs for them. Hahahaha.
