Anyone watch "Vikings"?

Been one of my favorite shows since it came out last year, just wondered if anybody else watched it. Gets better and better as it goes along.

yes, but didnt watch the last few weeks worth, since I switched cable providers I never updated my DVR to record all my favorite series.

I will be catching up soon...think the last episode I watched was "Eye for an Eye"

The blood eagle was a method of execution by torture, that is sometimes mentioned in Nordic saga legends. It was performed by cutting the ribs of the victim by the spine, breaking the ribs so they resembled blood-stained wings, and pulling the lungs out through the wounds in the victim's back. Salt was sprinkled in the wounds.

Btw why does Travis Fimmel, the star of that show, look totally stoned in every scene? He and Charlie Hunnam from Sons of Anarchy could switch parts and no one would notice.

Fuck yeah I love this show!!!! And it's even better cuz it plays on Thorsday. Ha. The wedding scene b/w the English and Vikings was very well done. Viking weddings are so much cooler than the boring English.

I can't stand Aslaug (aka Asslog aka broodmare). She has a weird mouth and her accent gives me the heebie jeebies.

I loved Lagertha's look when she killed her 2nd husband last week...psycho, but that asswipe deserved it.

Siggy "I'm not a whore." Has sex with 3 guys, not including her first husband.

Floki is a creepo but awesome...plus he has the balls to wear man-scara.

Finally...the music by Wardruna has for this show is simply amazing. I've been listening to their work on youtube. Love it.

Completely agree with you on Aslaug, her face is just...odd kind of, in a freaky kind of way.

Lagertha reminds me of a a viking version of Scarlett Johanson. Can't wait till she and Ragnar get back together(def going to happen).

everything else is spot on.

I do wish Bjorn would get a fucking haircut, idk why, his hair just annoys me, figured he would change it when he aged, thought I know they kept it so we knew it was him, but no we know, so he can change it lol.

Ragnar is the fucking boss!!

Man today's episode was awesome. No battle scenes, but it was a very well done episode. It was also a key episode for the actual history of the vikings.

Without spoiling anything for @RhodyRams tonight's episode really pushed the envelope for what they can show on American tv.

Princess Aslaug, due to nasty comments about her weird face, undergoes plastic surgery which backfires with horrific consequences.

Ragnar discovers hemp and smokes it all night but no one notices any difference in him.

Won't be able to watch it until Monday. I'm guessing that scheming snake King Horik will finally have it out with Ragnar.

Back in the day, TV shows would have a 3 month hiatus over the summer and then return in September. Now it's like a year. How do they expect their shows to sustain interest with that long of a gap?
