yesterday I stepped up off the couch
And something in my right ankle kinda popped and it dropped me to the ground. The pain was intense but didn't last too long. Towards the end of the day the pain started but it wasn't intense. Today at work the pain got increasingly bad. It doesn't hurt extra to take a step, so weight doesn't seem to hurt it. But the pain is a constant. Here is the head scratcher. The pain is in a few spots. Here is where the pain is in order of worste to least.

The right outside ankle bone

Bottom of foot from heel to toes more on the left side

The top of the Achilles' tendon

The bottom of Achilles' tendon

The left bottom of ankle under the inside left ankle bone

The all over pain is off to me and the fact that the pain doesn't flair with every step throws me off. I've broke this ankle twice and never had this variety of pain. I'm hoping someone may have an idea of what the hell is going on. Hopefully something that goes away while i sleep tonight lol

I'm not a doctor, but I stayed at a Holiday Inn Express last night...

...my advice is try the waffles at the free breakfast and see a doctor.

Is it swelling? Would be near impossible to tell what is going on without an MRI. The ankle is a spider web of ligaments and tendons.

If you go to a doc they'll likely just give you some pain meds, tell you RICE, and if it gets worse refer you to a "specialist".
