I don't really follow the sport anymore.....but wow those guys have the most serious problems out of any of the major sports when it comes to this. Loyal fans must be getting hard pressed to take it over and over and over.

It sounds like a few of these guys are going to be harshly punished (short of getting kicked out it's not enough for me) and have reputations besmirched.

I think I deserve props for (correctly) working the word besmirched into a post.

Anyway MLB earns another black eye. They seem to come one after another.....

I don't really follow anything other than ROD anymore. What's actually going on, and who's involved?

That's awesome to hear. :bg:

I heard a little about it. 100 or so players busted, and there's a doctor or therapist or something in Miami who's been feeding these players PEDs, and he's going to turn State's witness or something. I dunno. A-Rod and some other big name player are among the 100 guys who are looking at a long suspension. Something like 100 games.

100 players?

I didn't hear that number. I thought it was around 20.

Regardless... MLB looks really bad, again.

You could be right. 20 players, 100 games? I don't know. I'm pretty sure just about all of them are cheating one way or another. Honestly, I could give a shit if any of them juice. Everyone likes 100MPH fastballs and 500ft home-runs.

lol. No shit. Aluminum bats though?
Wouldn't those things just cave in with guys throwing 105MPH?

That would probably hurt like a sonofabitch too though.

When I played little league, there was a kid (14 years old) who could throw in the 80's, and if you had a loose grip on the bat, it would freaking resonate in your hands and sting like hell. Can't imagine cracking a 100MPH fastball with that kind of bat and not have some kind of backlash.

The roid rage fights would just as good as the game itself.

Anyone who wants to finance me in this venture, call me.

Hilarious... wonder if the Miami Doc was really just part of a sting operation?

I heard on radio that Bosch ( the stool pigeon) approached Arod and asked him for a couple hundred G's because he new the MLB was going after him and he wanted the money "for his defense"

Don't remember wood bats being a whole lot friendlier in that respect. My dad tried to tell me that the only way to play was old school with real bats as he called them. Luckily he rarely made it to any of my games so I could pull an aluminum out and leave mine leaning on the fence.

I think it would be scarier on the mound. You'd have pitchers starting to specialize in knuckle balls again. A come backer off of a 100+ fast ball with an aluminum bat would be some scary shit.
